We never got the rattler option in Canada and I wanted one so bad so I was forced to make it myself.
My master plan was to get an XL and all I’d have to do is get black wheels and I’d be set but when i went to order it they’ve already stopped taking orders for the 2023’s.
It’s almost impossible to find a Supercrew XL around here so I had to settle for an XLT. I wrapped the bumpers and that skinny piece between the bumper and grille in 3M 2080 matte metallic black.
The grille had me stumped for a while that’s why I haven’t completed the mission until now. I picked up this truck brand new last Halloween and it has bugged me everyday driving it around incomplete.
I’m not a professional wrapper so I had no clue how I was gonna wrap that thing. I got desperate a few weeks ago and just bought a bunch of plastidip but never got the time to do it.
Then last week right before our trip to visit family in Schenectady the lord blessed me with this magnificent grille on Americantrucks.com for an absolute steal. I think it was around $350-400 but I got an open box item for around $80 because it was missing the lights(that I didn’t even want).
I know it looks like a municipal work truck but I personally love the look. It also helps that it looks like a plain work truck because I live in the highest theft area in the country and I don’t think this look attracts those dickheads as much.
I’m gonna leave the wheels as they are and just get some black takeoffs when these tires die.
