If you think about it ALL colors have a clear coat over them so it's the clear coat you need to protect.Just bought a 21 white Platinum F-150 and dealer said waxing this color was not needed.
They don't even know that the color of your truck is Star White.Just bought a 21 white Platinum F-150 and dealer said waxing this color was not needed.

I waxed my '07 Oxford White King Ranch once . When I sold it this past January , and it looked great . The buyer said this has 200k on it !Just bought a 21 white Platinum F-150 and dealer said waxing this color was not needed.
That's not exactly true. Put Star White, White Platinum, Space White and Oxford White next to each other and get back to me.White is white
Mine is white, thats all I knowThat's not exactly true. Put Star White, White Platinum, Space White and Oxford White next to each other and get back to me.
And my point is that your dealer doesn't even know the name of the color. I wouldn't trust them when they say it doesn't need any wax.Mine is white, thats all I know
I believe the only white available on a platinum is “Star White Metallic Tri-Coat”. I have this on my ‘20 Lariat and that’s what my inbound ‘21 is as well. You will need to treat the same as any other colour on an F150. I mean really you don’t have to wax any of them but I would recommend it. Also I agree with Pioneer white is not white. As he said there are 3 whites available for the F150 lineup and they are all quite different.Mine is white, thats all I know
