Just about done modding my 2024. For now… Big thanks to Terry Beefcake Reeves for the parts! Hoping & praying tuning eventually becomes available so I can pulley down with E85 and get the trans built. I might end up scraping the Whipple altogether and going with a Daylight twin kit with a built motor. So far:

-Whipple stage 2.
-Ridetech 3/5 with Kelltrac shocks.
-Ridetech bags & Traction bars.
-Vossen HF6-1 20” wheels.
-Painted bumpers, mirrors, grille.
-Center console.
-Power/leather(lariat) seats.
-Fully sound deadened.
-UPR catch can.
-Velocity trans cooler.
-VMP boost a pump.
-SPD high flow alpha cats.
-Magnaflow 12249 muffler.
-XLT door panels.
-Lariat steering wheel

Sweeet! Got a question for all those who have bought used seats or console from salvage yards online (Car-part, LKQ) What happens if they show up and you find scratches on trim or power seats don't work. Dealt with local salvage yards years ago and some were sketchy as hell. I understand you should be prepared to install new covers but I'm not interested in buying "junk". I'm pretty stoked to get started on interior transformation. Good work Crfdude86

My dealings with them, they'll want them back at your expense. Go price a motor or trim piece and suddenly your savings vanish. One of the biggest liabilities is freight shipping. Forks will do a helluva job damaging such things. Make sure they have detailed images and you get the exact product you purchased. W/out it, your freight cost will likely be a few hundred $ and you still have to get the pallet to the depot.

So I found the parts through searching on car-part or carid (can’t remember) then drove to pick them up. For the power seats I just used the bases since mine were brand new. The leather is just oem lariat leather I purchased on eBay.

Great build and yea I feel for the non tunable out there.
I am curious of the boost a pump add. With the flex fuel systems they can flow quite a bit.

This isn’t flex fuel. I’m running a smaller pulley, 3.75 (3.85 is stock). I also might run E30 at one point. A lot of the S650 mustang guys are running one so I threw it on.

The OAR is still in operation so an e20 might make it the happiest. Are you logging? I use 93e0 blended with e85 up to a ~96e20-97e30 which my truck really loves (3.5 motor) The price to make this blend ends up being the price of mid-grade gas thanks to e85s cheap price

What's the OAR?
Ford's logic to deal with various grades of gasoline. Essentially it's always trying to get more power out of the motor but backs off timing if the octane isn't good enough. That's how they're able to get the peak power out of the ecoboost engines while also still being able to eat ~85 octane. While at the same time being able to deliver much more power with 96 octane.

There's a PID in the PCM you can read that tells you how aggressive the timing is currently at ranging from -1 to +1.
-------------------
Ford's OAR stands for Octane Adjust Ratio.

It is a proprietary Ford system that has been implemented in their vehicles since around 2012. The OAR system is designed to:
  • Determine the quality (octane) of the fuel being used in the engine.
  • Proactively adjust engine parameters, primarily ignition timing, to optimize performance and prevent engine knock based on the detected fuel quality.
Here's a breakdown of how it works:
  • The engine's control unit (PCM or ECU) uses knock sensors to constantly monitor engine noise.
  • Based on the amount of detonation (knocking) detected, the OAR value is adjusted.
  • The OAR value ranges from -1.00 (very good fuel) to 1.00 (very poor fuel).

  • This OAR value is then used as a multiplier with timing compensation tables to determine the final ignition timing.
  • Better fuel quality (OAR closer to -1.00) results in more aggressive ignition timing, leading to increased engine power.
  • Poorer fuel quality (OAR closer to 1.00) results in less aggressive ignition timing, reducing the risk of engine damage from knocking.
In essence, Ford's OAR system allows the vehicle to automatically adapt to different fuel qualities, ensuring optimal performance and engine safety without requiring manual adjustments.

On order ‘22 RCSB.
Very nice.
can you get a shot of the SPD pipe between the cats and where the two pipes merge into one? Im interested in where they merge in relation to the frame cross member.
also, I noticed your dash and door panels appear to be all black…is that factory? My 22 has a lot of light gray and i would rather they be all black.

ya next time it’s on the lift I’ll snap a picture. Dash is oem. Door panels are from an xlt. They were originally light grey.

How much did the seats bases and console run you?

My pulley came as a 3.75 but I’m running a 93 tune at the moment.
