Its free for a few months, otherwise its $10 a year. I get it though, if you don't care about the speedo being off, its no big deal!If you have it, lol.
I was planning on doing something similar. I was going to use a 2" spacer with my 6112's on the second notch. I figured that would put me around 2.5" Which is just about perfectly level on my truck. That way I could keep the Bilstein ride with a little more height.Anyone tried the Readylift 2.25" puck with the Bilstein 6112/5160 set on the 0 or 1 perch? Upgraded suspension, taking out all that 2" pre-load. I can easily see this suspension put in for the improvement in handling, on the 1st slot for .25" and the Readylift 2.25". That would be about it to respect geometry, have a good level, upgraded suspension and still somewhat plush.
Isn't that a 3" (2" spacer and 1" Preload).I was planning on doing something similar. I was going to use a 2" spacer with my 6112's on the second notch. Yeah - you're right. I think a 2" Readylift and perch #1 would be somewhat ideal - or a 2.25" Readylift and either #0 or #1. Prob splitting hairs here. I do have a solid 3" rake on the FX4 package. Want to leave a 'little' rake for hauling gear.I thought it was all preload with no actual lift. I forget what they measured compared to my OEM setup.
Yes, but if you go to shock surplus they will build you a ready to bolt on coil over.Do you have to reuse the OEM top hat on these?
That would cause the same potential issue as using a spacer on a factory strut. It would greatly increase the chance of bottoming out a shock and blowing it out.Yeah - you're right. I thought about throwing a 1/2" spacer in mine with it on the 5th notch. That would get me around 2.75" I'm just not comfortable going that high without adding in new UCA's. The unfortunate part, nobody has them available for 2021's, yet. By the time I get this truck where I want it, it will be time trade it in, lol. That would cause the same potential issue as using a spacer on a factory strut. I ran small 1/4-1/2” spacers above my 6112s on my Tacoma at the top clip to gain extra height. I didn’t notice any change in firmness from when I had them on the middle clip. But I did UCAs at the same time so maybe that helped.
The 6112 coils are linear and take a preload much better than say a factory progressive coil jammed on the top clip on a 5100. That’s where preload gets a bad name when it’s compressing through the softer portion and then you’re constantly riding on the heavier stroke of the spring.
I hear ya. I spent 3 years tinkering around with my Tacoma just to realize it wasn’t ever going to get any bigger. So away it went and now I get to start all over again. ?By the time I get this truck where I want it, it will be time trade it in, lol.
No sagging. It's still sitting at 1.25" or 24.5" from hub center to the bottom of the fender well. Not getting the full 2" may be due to me not using a kit made specifically for the 2021.@150ish how much height did you gain over stock now that it’s settled?
