2022 502A…
Mileage is superb… coming from GMC 5.3
Whoa, that's gotta be close to a record! Can you share what conditions this was under and how you drove?

(I'm picturing the scene from "Revenge of the Nerds" when they're going to college at 35mph on the highway for optimum mileage, lol!!)

Drive was 90 miles out and back to my dads on hwy 66 in Oklahoma. Locked out 9 & 10 too. With gasoline at five bucks… this is a real feature of the F150…. Regular 10% ethanol… bed cover too might be a help.

Now that I'm at home I'm about 19 mpg lifetime. Not exactly what I was hoping for but only 1 mpg worse than my 2012 Maxima. I'm sure I'll get close to 22 for road trips or any consistent highway miles but it seems that I'll be at 19 most of the time. In both cases I'm not too far off the EPA estimates so its hard to be too bummed. Though I am jelly with some of the numbers you guys post. To give a little more context I'm in a SuperCrew Lariat 502a with FX4 package. So my config might be a little chubbier than some and the extra weight is probably why I'm down a little mpg compared to some others. Still seeing you guys post averages 4-7 mpg better is amazing.
I just got the chance to test drive a 2020 Lariat FX4 2.7 with 502 and moonroof (also quite “chubby”, lol! Payload was just 1500). I was impressed overall with nearly everything (I’ll post a bit more on the “F150 vs …” section) but was most impressed with the city mileage.

Drove 67km total, only 5km at any sort of “highway speed”, and got 11.5l/100km or 20mpg. My Element averages 18-19 driving the same way.

Call me impressed. Almost all city driving, moderately hilly, lots of stop signs and lights, plus I took the vehicle thru some of my local routines (parking lots, back roads), speed was rarely more than 40mph. I also drove conservatively on purpose to see how good the mileage could be (my days of “lighting it up” at stop signs are long gone, lol! Everyone here has work trucks, ancient sedans, minivans, and SUV’s, haha)
