There was a government sign at the Ely Nevada railroad museum that I should’ve taken a picture of that said something to the effect around 100 years ago that if a man chooses to stand on a railroad track, he chooses this at his own risk and if he does this and he dies, it’s on him basically. I loved how it was just common sense truth. Those old signs are something else.

dont them folks get cold in them trailers?
just today i talked to a guy at the VA hospital that has a lake cabin waaaaayyyyy up there and he said the lake does not thaw enough to put his boat in until around mid june and his son told him last week 6 or more feet of snow still surround the cabin/house
but skeeters are big as eagles

How far east are you planning to go in Canada before heading south?

So, found a campsite at the end of the park to stay. My daughter cooked a steak, mash potatoes and corn which was a welcome recharge of protein and natural carbs.

Heading the opposite direction in the park is a treat as you see everything else. Mt. Robson Provincial Park doesn’t disappoint. Stopped to see the Rearguard waterfalls where only the strongest salmon finish their journey.

When one thinks of the word overland, they might think of the current upper trend of Toyota and Jeep drivers camping off-road. Further back in history we might think of the Willys Overland Company. We stopped off at Overlander Falls and had a nice beautiful hike this morning and had a good history lesson on some real overlanders.

Moving down to Jasper they have really been through it. Saw a book titled 5 days of hell. Check out the charred road sign.

Big fire last year...I believe it was last year.... lot of acres were destroyed.
