I love the Athabasca Glacier. As a kid it was huge. Seeing it now is just mind blowing how it’s just nearly gone compared to the way it used to be.

Headed to Jasper. Stopped to see a couple of the waterfall areas like Athabasca. Beautiful views. Started getting into the forest fire areas. Love this little town. Sadly lots of wildfire destruction. Since this is a Ford forum I have to do the poser shot.

Made it into Jasper. Beautiful surrounding mountains. Neat strip. Lots of trailers here. Reminds me of Louisiana post Katrina.

dont them folks get cold in them trailers?
just today i talked to a guy at the VA hospital that has a lake cabin waaaaayyyyy up there and he said the lake does not thaw enough to put his boat in until around mid june and his son told him last week 6 or more feet of snow still surround the cabin/house
but skeeters are big as eagles

Banff is stunning.
Your travel pace is dizzying

Yeah, I’m working with a certain timeline as my daughter starts her summer class soon. She wanted to come back in-between terms. So, we juggled it with my dad. We last came probably around 2011 so we kinda know what we’re doing. If time allowed it would be nice to do this as you go along not worrying about time. But, she’s such an early riser we can do alot. Funny thing is, when I was about her age I asked my dad if we could go back.
