Morimoto Tail lights issue

To those who have installed the Morimoto taillights. I just installed mine but the DRL function is not working. Do you have to enable them in Forscan? The LED bars only activate if the headlights lights are on or if it’s in park. I have the DRL function on in the settings, and the lights are in auto mode. My headlight DRL’s activate but not the taillight DRL’s.

I have a 21 302A XLT. I know if I upgraded to OEM LED’s I would need to activate via forscan. I was under the impression the Morimoto should just be plug and play?

I don’t think the tail light drl is always on when driving. They should only be on when your headlights or parking lights are on.

That would make sense too. I just kept reading people keep calling it a DRL bar, so I thought they should be on in the daytime as well. I finally got mine and thought something was wrong after installation. Thanks.
