"While we continue to manufacture new vehicles, we're prioritizing completing our customers' vehicles that were assembled without certain parts due to the industry-wide semiconductor shortage," spokesperson Kelli Felker said in a statement. ?sure Ford, they know we can see window stickers right???
Dearborn Truck Plant will run two crews the weeks of July 12, 19 and 26. The plant builds the Ford F-150 and F-150 Raptor and employs 4,400 people, according to Ford's website.
Seems like F150s will be prioritized over other models?Kentucky Truck Plant will be down the week of July 12 and will run two shifts the weeks of July 19, 26 and August 2. That plant, which builds Ford F-250–F-550 Super Duty Trucks, Ford Expedition, Lincoln Navigator, employs nearly 9,000 people.
This sucks Sorry to hear it. Mine was built 2 weeks ago but hasn't left the plant. If it makes you feel better I went through 3 different shutdowns hahaha.
I think 2 crews = 2 shifts, but hey, it's 2021 so apparently there are no meanings to words anymore, and no consequences either.Does "run two crews" mean the same thing as "run two shifts"? Or is there meant to be a deeper meaning here?
Lately, Dearborn went through about a month and a half shutdown earlier this year. It was very annoying. I was thinking come July they would have been better off and not have to do shutdowns.I feel bad for anyone built in KC, so many shutdowns. Dearborn has been so much more reliable.
When my March 19th build was going on, it would have been here months ago, if it was in KC. Back then KC had a lot of parts.I feel bad for anyone built in KC, so many shutdowns. Dearborn has been so much more reliable.
