I can't seem to find info on how or what the different sliding color bands on the speedometer mean. They change in each different driving mode. I've scoured youtube but I've found nothing. Any links please?

Are you referring to the ones that change with drive mode? Green in eco mode etc?

I have been curious as well and, yea, my research turned up nothing.

I suspect they reflect how aggressive or passive cruise control is... In other words Eco mode, with the broad bands, will allow a few mph variability and only gently slow or speed up while stll in that range. Normal mode will gas and brake more aggressively.

But it might be my imagination...

sport mode is red and white so maybe it indicates a more sporty layout??
i like sport mode on a 2 lane road we have here
its 60 mph so i lock out 9 and 10 and it flat makes the curvy road a blast to drive

I just noticed this yesterday when I tried ECO mode for the first time and also wondered why. So I tried to look it up last night without any success. Very curious.

Can you supply a pic of what you’re referring to?

That’s just to let you know where the cruise is set, right?

Ah, well from what I’ve seen it’s just a visual indicator to tell you what mode you’re in without having to look for a specific icon or touching the dial

I know the general colors are indicating different modes. I'm curious about the functions of the different bands and indicators surrounding the inside and outside if the speedo arch. Lots of different stuff going on and they change with each mode of driving.
I did a sport burnout. There was a red band that persisted on the outer band. Things like that.

Ok, then I guess I’m not sure what you’re talking about. I drive almost exclusively in eco, outer band is cruise control set point and inner band is actual speed and “eco coach”

Well that's new to me. You said the inner band was eco coach. How so? I thought eco coach was that box at bottom center.

It’s just visual design variants for each mode. It’s more of a theme than just a color change. The speedometer is just telling you the speed. The red outer band in sport mode is nothing more than an aesthetic of the “sport” look.

Deep sand/snow again, just a theme.

Rock crawl. Again, just a theme.

green outer band is for set speed cruise control. (Raptor normal mode theme)

Raptor sport mode with cruise control set but not active. So the outer band is not green.

The thick green band on the speedo is called Eco Coach, which displays by default in Eco Mode and can be turned on in Normal Mode through the cluster settings. It isn't just a visual change; it actually slides separately from the speed if you accelerate or decelerate "too" quickly to coach you to drive in a more efficient manner and theoretically help maximize mpg. Look up Eco Coach in the manual on the center screen.
