Im seriously thinking about adding E-boost. Seems like a no brainer if you’ve already got a Livernois tune.
Based on user reports it sounds like a beta. You can add it later for the same price. If you want additional tunes / make power adding changes, it changes tuning variables and you need another tune.

Mine definitely stays in electric longer and has better mileage. But I was getting 22-23 before, now 24-25.
how long did it take? I have about 180 miles so far and shifting is rough at slow speed. it skips gears

Just received the new E-boost tune - note that it is a $100 upgrade, but they were quick to send it once I called them and paid.

After this boring meeting that should have been an email, I'll throw the truck on a charger for a bit and load it. :)

Loaded the 91+ performance E-boost version and went for a quick drive. It took a few miles of driving for the truck to get up to temp and finally switch to electric mode, but in the 4-5 miles I drove afterwards, it definitely is less eager to switch over to ICE.

There's a stretch of road in my neighborhood with speed bumps - previously, it would switch to electric when I slowed down for them, then switch back to ICE after I rolled over and give it throttle again. The back/forth always annoyed me, so I generally switched to tow/haul mode so ICE would stay on.

With the new tune and in normal drive mode, I was able to make it the entire way on electric-only and it didn't kick ICE back on as before, for what I thought to be relatively minor throttle input. I can see this adding a bit more MPG under the right circumstances.

Otherwise, it feels like the same smooth and powerful tune as before. :)

I sent the request on Wednesday evening. I got an email today saying that they got the tune request, but I'd need to call the sales team and pay for the upgrade first. I called, did that, and received the tune about 20 minutes later.

You can probably head off the process a bit by giving them a call/payment in advance: 313-561-5500 ext 1 for sales.

This implies that Livernoise found a way to lower the allowable SOC for the Hybrid battery below ~42%, or raise it above ~63%, before ICE is triggered to come on/off.

That would be the only way a "tune" could extend EV runtime. Sure would love to find out if that's true. Expanding the range of usable SOC could open up all kinds of possibilities. And if they have actually "cracked" that code, then I would assume they could enable EV cruising in Sport Mode?

Please let that be true.

I got nothing there, at least as far as hard data. But it does seem to be different.

Everything I’ve read from anyone who actually has the e-boost tune seems to really like it. Where are you seeing reports that it’s a beta?
