List your 2021 F-150 issues

When I hit bumps at low speed it sometimes feels like the wheel is hoping rapidly…. Tires are at recommended psi of 36 but wondering if that’s too high.

Took it down to 34, amazing what a difference just 1-2 psi makes, much better. When the factory tires wear out I plan to go to a slightly larger size which will hopefully add a little more flex even at 36.

Another issue: the roads here are so crummy that most have crack patches on top of crack patches stringing together into a long line of patches…. Lane centering sees these and thinks I’m going over the line and starts vibrating the steering wheel. Not really a problem with the truck… more a gripe about our roads here, I’ve got to get in the habit of disabling the lane centering system when not using the self centering on the highway.

Curious how many have taken a look underneath At the rear axels and shock mounts for the rust issue, read that in an article that it seems to be a problem. Like no seal coat or rust prevention was applied.

What is the correct fix for the rust issue?

As far as problems go, it's only been 2 weeks but I haven't had any besides the alarm triggering one night. I'm hoping there's an OTA update to fix this soon.

There's a separate thread for the rust issue, over 1100 posts, mine included?. Many photos posted as well. Very few have received dealer assistance, most, but not all, before delivery.
Several have repaired their own and included what they've used on there. Search for 2021 rust and it should come up.

So I went out this morning and when I tried to start the truck I got all kinds of warning lights....then everything just went dead and it started making loud popping noises from the speakers. That lasted about 20 mins and now it is just DEAD, no lights no noises nothing!! I bought the truck on 3/2/21 and this already??

I had that same problem on 8/24. Took roadside 2 sets of jumper cables, and about 30 mins. to get it running again ?

Calling Ford Customer Service did nothing, I eventually downloaded Twitter and tweeted something nasty @Ford and was immediately messaged for my contact info. A specialist contacted me a few days later. I'll PM you the Specialist that helped me to possibly save you the headache.

3.5L Lariat Ecoboost twin turbo
Delivery date 1/17/21

1. RUST on rear diff, rear axle, rear brake backing plates, rear u-joint/slip yoke, exhaust -hangers, mufflers, and pipes, shock mounts, leaf springs clips, frame, and both front axles (the long story on the rust thread). Contacting Ford, dealer basically told us to pound sand.

2. Hardware failure message on infotainment system - dealer flashes and it has not reoccurred.

3. Rattle from weatherstripping on LF door when sunroof is vented or open.

4. Drivers door out of alignment - pushed in at top.

5. Two weeks ago, several warning messages came on when trying to start, no start, clicking from under hood fuse box area, followed by loud thumping from under rt. side dash for 30 mins., battery completely dead. Ford roadside used 2 sets of jumper cables, and 30 minutes, to charge up enough to start.

6. Adaptive/intelligent cruise intermittantly stops working while driving on the highway. Cannot resume/reingage. I have to power down the vehicle fully then restart to get it working again.

That's it ? for now... Other than that I really do love the way this truck drives!

4. Drivers door out of alignment - pushed in at top.

At first I was thinking it was the weather stripping being stiff but yeah I’ve noticed its not a perfect alignment as well… it’s off by maybe 1/16” between the top and the bottom… enough that you can see and feel but probably within spec. I don’t know if it’s worthwhile to get it adjusted.

Ongoing issue with configurable gauges randomly being reset along with my Satellite radio losing the last channel on startup. Seems many other folks have problem and Ford has no fix as yet. I dont want to waste my time taking to dealer only for them to keep it a couple days and then tell me they couldnt find anything..

Hello everyone; still waiting for my F150 LARIAT 5.0 SCREW from KCAP. I’m reading here and the biggest thing I’m seeing is there’s 3 main factors missing to pin point main problems and issues. So Let’s Start With; 1) what trim do you have, 2) what engine do you have and 3) where was it built?????

Front windows leak at HWY speeds. Truck just rolled past 100 miles.

I just bought a 2021 F150. The base of the seats are the most uncomfortable I have ever sat on. After driving 1hour ( about 65 miles ) it was almost unbearable to set on. Has anyone else had this problem. Thanks

Mine are comfortable and offer plenty of adjustment options. Are they the most comfortable ever? Probably not, but also they aren’t broken in yet either. What trim do you have?

No driver seat issues with my 21 F150 Lariat PB. Loved the lower back seat support, better than 2013 Highlander hybrid and 2018 Lexus RX450h.

My truck lurches forward very aggressively from a stop and recently when I was trying to creep forward waiting to merge .. the driver in front of me stopped unexpectedly due to a car changing lanes into the one they were merging into and I tapped their bumper.. $1300in damage to my truck.. I was so embarrassed. and I may need a new cruise control sensor it didnt work after the accident so I unplugged it and plugged back in. Works for now.. I turned off auto hold so that I don’t have to tap dance with my feet in traffic. Not to mention the anti collision system didn’t work. I’m not a bad driver. I had only one other at fault accident 10 years ago and that was due to an icy bridge.

- radio resets randomly at start up
- turn signal auto off on right turns does not work
- shifter is hard to use.. feels cheap
-poor design on the fuel door lock can tell that won’t last.

when I brought it home it had to go back for a factory paint issue w the passenger door. The dealer made it right but it took about 3 weeks. I’m feeling pretty burnt out on my truck. I’ve only put about 3000 miles on it.

Out of curiosity, what was the paint issue on your passenger door?
