For discussion about 2021 Limited trim...observations, mods, pictures, questions, lessons learned sharing, etc.
Thanks you for starting this Forum ... Excellent!
I'm interested in the same items as discussed throughout the forum and like to learn.
This is my first post so be gentle.......

My order details as well

Exterior color: Antimatter Blue
Options: 1) Fold flat work surface 2) Max recline seats
Order date: 10/15/20
Est. Build date: 2/11/21
A long time coming but as I said from the beginning when I ordered "Go Big or Go Home" and be PATIENT which aligns with what many have indicated during this factory change over dilemma.

I'm conflicted with the tire options as many have indicated. The Tire Rack and Discount Tire options are not much different from the stock tire, General Grabber HTS. Is there a market for selling the General Grabber HTS as a "just like new" stock tire?

In addition, I'm going with Line-X bed liner since I believe this is more robust liner than the stock option, does anyone have a history of the Ford stock (3rd party) liner quality over time?

Lastly, I have seen numerous pictures and videos of the Exterior color (Antimatter Blue) and interior Admiral Blue. It appears that the sun and shading have a great influence on the perception of the colors, very unique but difficult to assess. Is there a video or picture that someone can provide that is representive or "true"?

So we have the same car build, color, and preference for Line-X...so, samsies! Lol

Re:color... I drove a Limited twice before deciding and one of my biggest concerns was color. If it’s anything like the pre-production ones I drove, I LOVE it. And it’s nothing like the insanely CGI, and way overly blue pics on the build site. Let me post the pics I have of the Limited interior and see if that helps you.

These pics are also good for the form & fit of the American Flag’s & arm rests to show what right looks like.

Excellent! Those picture provide an good perspective on the color. The build site and some of the early videos make the BLUE really BLUE. I'm a blue fan but it was a little over the top. Thx

Any luck with your tire hunt? I want to keep the same wheels and tire size but looking for a tire that's is a little more aggressive. Ideally exchange at dealership.

And wireless charger (from another post). And thickness of the collapsible storage. I was trying to respond to some specific asks people had back in the day when we only had access via the drive events. I was soliciting what everyone wanted to see pics of at the time, lol, including the door stickers!

Great question. I’ve decided mostly to wait until I get it and spend some time deciding really what to do. I want to observe the ride quality before I make a decision. If I can find a tire that 1) looks more aggressive while not looking stupid with the Limited trim (I think it’s a bigger deal than most think) and 2) doesn’t sacrifice too much or at all on ride quality and noise then I’ll do it.

So one option I’ll consider is the Toyo based on some feedback from another forum member (@currybob I think).

Good call on the wait. I'll probably have more than six weeks to do research/evaluation since I just received my estimated build date of 2/11/21. If I'm lucky the dealer will receive the truck in March??

All, with the help of a forum member (greatly appreicated), I obtained my order status & "my" associated ordering process.

* The Ford Process Info that I was provided.

1. Place Order: My second order (canc 1st one) was 20 Nov 2020
2. Goes to pre-build satus ex: For mine clean build meaning no projected production issues (such as part shortage).
3. Enters into build week. Mine is 2/9/2021.
4. Normally 1-2 weeks prior to actual build a VIN# is generated. Once VIN is generated - a Window Sticker is suppose to be available. May take 2-3 days.
5. Vehicle gets build- etc.. (QA/QC). time varies - I didn't get a lovked in time.
6.. Gets schedule for transport (average) transport time that I was told is 3 weeks. It does varies.
7. Arrives @ dealership for deprocessing.

"DISCLAIMER* Before anyone chimes in - I know that some of you may of had a 100% different process - I do read 99% of posts and I get it. This is what I got from Ford Coporate.

Thanks Jim for the Ford Process & your progress, we are having our trucks built the same week.
My progression is very similar and the schedule is wishful thinking but my motto is PATIENCE.

1) 15-Oct-20: Ordered
2) Prebuilt Status: I didn't get this information
3) 12-Jan-21: Received VIN and production week (08-Feb-21)
Note ... Max Recline Seat was missing on Ford Tracker but dealer checked with Ford (WBDO) and it was included
4) 27-Jan-21: Received build date (11-Feb-21)
Note ... Sticker has not be generated per dealer nor Ford tracker. According to other forums the sticker should be available about 7-10 days prior to build date or week of 01-Feb-21
5) est. 11-Feb-21 ??? : Build (QA/QC)
6) est. 05-Mar-21 ??? : Received at Dealer ... Transportation (2-3 weeks)
7) est. 08-Mar-21 ??? : Pickup at Dealer

Does this type of schedule match with those who have received their vehicles or too aggressive?

I cannot say it's more agressive - but it's doable . Prediciting/nailing down the transportation node is anyone's game. It's my understanding - amount of transportation time is directly coorelated to the # of trucks ready for one carrer headed in the same drection as yours may be. My dealer stated 1st week of March for him to get the deliverly - but turned around and told me it could be the 2nd week due to transportation be unpredictable on when it may show up.

Ensure you take your time to do a 100% inspection before you accept. I'm taking my time & won't be rushed.

With all the fancy things this does, I am trying to find out if the doors automatically lock when you walk off. I've assumed so but can't find it. My wife's Tahoe does and my wife is always getting onto me for not locking my truck.

^^ First, thanks for the great pics. I'd love to hear more from you about balancing an aggressive look on the Limited trim... and maybe others' thoughts as well.

Last summer when I decided on an F150, I was initially attracted to an F150 that's leveled or lifted to a 3" max. As I kept looking, I found the Limited... fell for its grill, interior color concept, and just wanted to press the easy button to get all the features.

Now I'm tempted to strike a balance between the Limited and this early more aggressive version of the F150 I was after. Thoughts/advice on how I to achieve this? Appreciate it.

I'm happy for your guys, and maybe just a tad envious.

1) 10-Aug-20: Ordered
2) Crickets***
3) Keep telling myself good things come to those who wait :)

***explanation from my dealer is that despite my early order date, Ford determines commodity holds by region...so if anyone else ordered a Hybrid Limited w/ max recline and work surface in the Washington DC region...see #3 above.

Patients is my motto toooooo ... based on the issues with the early products this is a blessing to have a little later build so the smart guys at Ford have the opportunity to work out the "bugs". I worked as Engineer in a large manufacturing facility and you'll be glad your truck has "correct" fixes rather than the products that needed to get out to the "market" to satisfy Corporate and they'll fix later ... if they get noticed.
