And there is a good reason which is why the feature is still being evaluated by LightShip. The thermal loads experienced when using these traction modes in constant generator mode are extreme. The Rivian will stop regening going down steep grades because of this. The electric motor cooling loop needs a lot of support to run in constant generator mode.
