David has been writing about cars and trucks forever. I have listened to him in a podcast or two on ev's and he is very realistic with the topic. He does range tests at realistic highway speeds and use to get real world results. Read the the article with a grain of salt, but it always good to atleast try and understand something you don't agree with. I do agree though that too many people drive vehicles way bigger then they need. To each their own, everybody has their own reason and opinion, I accept it won't be the same as mine.

Thought I should include a link, it's not new, but you can listen and come to your own conclusions.

I got my build date today from the dealer for a Lariat ER, Max Tow - Antimatter Blue.

Ordered Jan 5th (entered as Jan 7), but build is week of June 13.

Ford Canada's site doesn't have any info part from the order date. Has anyone here been able to find other information for Canadian orders online?

I ordered from a dealer in Oakville, ON

Check out post #214 on the previous page.

You will need the VIN and 4 digit order number.

You should be able to find your window sticker about 2 weeks before your build week.

My order number is 8 digits. I don't have anything with 4. I tried the last 4 and it didn't work.

See post 190...my dealer sent me that.

The first four numbers 1965, is my order number.
Thanks, checking with my dealer for the 4 digit one. All they gave me was the deposit receipt.

Just tried the tracker using the VIN and order number my dealer gave me. I'm not getting any info on the site, but my build week is now June 13th. I guess I'll keep checking until things get closer to hopefully see a window sticker!

Another discrepancy, the Ford.ca site states my order date as 01/19 under my profile, while the Ford Canada tracking link (shop.ford.ca/vehicleordertracking/status/?vin=) shows it as being 01/21.

He was right about the rebate.
The rebate will now apply to pickup trucks with base price under $60k and with price up to $70k.

So Ford would need to make the Pro available to consumers in Canada, then it would qualify as well as the standard range XLT.

Canada ZEV update - does any current electric suv/pickup qualify? will the 2023 lightning XLT remain under $70,000 cad? will the PRO be available for under $60,000? what a waste...

To be eligible:

  • A car must have a base model Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price that is less than $55,000. Higher priced versions of these vehicles, up to a maximum Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price of $65,000, are also eligible.
  • Larger zero-emission vehicles (e.g., sports utility vehicles, minivans and pick-up trucks) must have a base model Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price under $60,000. Higher priced versions of these vehicles, up to a maximum of $70,000, are also eligible.
