Light bar for a tailgate with the step?

Hi,

Anyone found a good lightbar for their truck that has the tailgate with built-in step? They put that extra bracket right where they all seem to want to stick/attach and I’d love to know if anyone else has found a neat solution before I start creating more grey hairs making my own…

Did you install the tailgate light strip? I got one for a Christmas gift, and yes, the bracket and it's bolt heads are right where the strip needs to mount. I'm not even sure of the purpose of the bracket. It looks like it just indexes the tailgate from moving side to side.

That looks awesome! Do you have a product name or UPC for that bar? I’ve seen Putco’s at $300-$400 and some generics on Americantrucks.com that cost $90-$300.

I installed the Putco a couple months ago and love it. I just removed the bracket which is what they recommended. The tailgate seems to work fine without it. The bracket was a little tough to remove as I installed the light bar without removing the tailgate.
