License tag light bulb socket corroded...How to fix??

Noticed today that my license tag light had moisture in it and was no longer working. I unseated it and saw the whole bulb socket was corroded. No idea how water got in there. Was going to try and warranty but thought I'd try to fix on my own first.

Question I have, does anyone know if you can just remove the bulb socket from the wire harness and replace that? I tried and tried and could not get it out. If not, does any one know the correct part numbers to splice in a new harness?
