Picked up (actually ordered) a Leer HF650M from the Leer site. Tonn75 gets you $75.00 off the cover (any cover I think). Shipping was free!

Pretty pumped!

HF650M came in on Wednesday. Good price and fast service/ship directly from Leer. Can't wait to get it installed on the truck (that I don't have).

I am on the fence between the Leer HF650M and the Under Cover Armor Flex. Did you consider both, and if so, what leaned you towards the Leer?

I have a tonneau on my current truck and love it. The Leer was less expensive than Ford's covers and I am not sure Ford is using Bakflip anymore anyway. I wanted the ability to fold the cover up against the glass.

I have been on Facebook marketplace and Craigslist looking for a used one, but have had no luck. Having bought a $70k+ truck, in the end I didn't want to throw a used cover on. If was coming out of a Ford, like Currybob, I would have transferred the top over, but I am not. Looking at what other products are on the market, the reviews, and the functionality of the Leer, I think it will be worth every penny. Cheaper than the Bakflip, at least.

Well, first, I paid about $100 less for the HF650M. What really swayed me, though, is the pinch release on the panels. In theory, for someone to get into the HF650M you have to open the tailgate. It would be difficult to get to the pinch clamps and release the top with the tailgate shut.

On the UnderCover, which uses a simple wire mechanism, there is enough play in the tailgate panel to get a coat hanger or other hook into the bed, hooked on the wire, and viola your cover is open and your stuff is gone. I realize anything can happen, but in my mind I was getting a great cover, with better security, at a more acceptable price.

same here. I chose the hf650m because of the pinch mechanism. Just making it harder for the criminal to break into my trunk. Easy install. Took me 15 minutes to install.

I just ordered this cover. Are the yellow straps just a backup method of securing the cover in case the bulkhead clamps come loose?

@jabrego That looks nice on there. What length is your bed?

I know none of these are truly waterproof, but any insight on yours with rain/car washes yet?

not completely waterproof, I had some water come in through the front and back(tailgate). Front seems to need a seal strip. they provided a rubbery strip, but it is not mention on the instructions. Doesn't look like a standard seal strip, so I didn't install it at the front. The tailgate will always allow water no matter what tri/quad fold tonneau cover you use.

Bumping kind of an old topic, but does anyone know the part number that fits the 2021 f150 6.5ft bed?

There is the part number 650169 available locally to me, but it doesn't explicitly say for the 2021's and I am wondering if that is just because someone didn't update it yet.

Yes, that will fit. The bed dimensions are unchanged from Gen 13 trucks. According to Leer, the 2021 part number is LR-650169, which corresponds with the one you are looking at.

I installed a LEER 650 on my new Lariat SC yesterday. Several issues swayed to the Leer. First no drain tubes that may get clogged or smashed when loading articles in bed. Next the quad fold with the ability to open up almost all of the bed. I like where the brace rods are located better than other brands. Additionally I preferred the composite material used in the cover vs the aluminum or aluminum clad models. I believe it will prove to be less susceptible to dents. I am also pleased that my power tailgate works very well with this cover. Only had a day, but an very pleased with it.
