That’s good to know. The thing looks really good with zero lift.

It’s definitely on the radar. Did you look at the Landcruiser at all?

Please send a side shot of the GX.

Just know that Toyota has tried to dupe the American market with the new Land Cruiser without telling us it’s actually a light duty Toyota Prado and not the genuine heavy duty Land Cruiser.
my sister in law's Toyota Highlander just got totaled, and she assumed the she'd just get another.

But when she got in and tried to drive the new one, it was clearly not the truck derived thing she used to drive, and she walked off--it was nothing like the one she'd loved and lost.

(She ended up with a Chevy Equinox, and is ticked by it). [yeah, I don't think that it's on a truck chases, either, but it didn't flimsy her away!]

I'm pretty sure the Highlander has never been truck based.

Did you mean Landcrusier?

No, she had a highlander.

Her old one felt strong and solid, and the new one light and flimsy.

There would be, uhh, a zero percent chance that she would actually be able to tell if it were really a truck or not.
:teehee:

but the big thing was solid too flimsy, enough that she planned on buying then and there, but walked instead.

Went from a 2023 F-150 Limited to a 2024 GMC 1500 Denali Ultimate. Wow, night and day difference. 2023 F-150 Limited PB was a breeding ground for electrical gremlins. I swear the truck was feeding them after midnight! First two times my wife drove the truck, the dash lit up like a Christmas tree. Front collision error, trailer tow error (with no trailer attached), etc. Traded in after 4600 miles.

GMC... no issues at all after 7000 miles.

I've owned nothing but Ford trucks since 1998. The current generation of Ford engineers need to get their head in the game. LOL

Not sure what your point is here. The Highlander shares very little with either the GX 550 or the Land Cruiser. The GX is a body-on-frame vehicle with a solid rear axle, lockable diff, and so on - it's a refined truck chassis basically. Same platform as the Tundra.

it was about Toyota pulling back on quality. What was solid on the older model Highlander is not so on the new one, to the point that its fans walk off when going in to buy.

Yes it has the HOe 6.7
It started off rough a rodent attacked it at dealer..so a good portion of under hood wires and few small tube's had to be replaced

And at 512 miles new transmission
Internal failure.
Other than thst
I really like the truck
Interior is 98% same as my 22 king ranch
It's missing headrest speakers..but you would never know..stereo is much better
And I have HUD..which imo is the bees knees. I am tall so seeing speed etc in window is nice
It's quite inside..much quite than my 22
Gobbbbbs of tq
I have forscanned it like my 22
Plus some new stuff
See what happens when using a HOe? Tranny problems. But you’re right, there is not really a SD forum that matches this one. We need to start a section here lol.

OP, that’s a badass SUV but you don’t have to have an F150 to stay onboard.

Do you have that new HO Powerstroke? I’m all over the board on what to do. Part of me wants to keep this truck and soup it up a little, part of me wants a Tremor, part of me keeps eyeing PowerStrokes every time I drive by the Ford dealer….
Yes it has the HO e
Engine
It had a rough start, rodent, then transmission,
But it now wonderful
Rides very good, everywhere but my neighborhood
Kr insides just like my 150.
Ooodles of tq.
Purrs,
Has high cap tow pack so rear is a touch more stiff
But tire pressures fixed that
Really like the HUD
I am tall, and it's the perfect driver helper.
Didn't buy it for mpg
But it has surpassed my eco boost by 2 mpg snd closing in on 3. For my normal routine
Of mixed 75, 69,35, both trips are now within. .1 of each other and one is 470 something the other 2000 something
Now
Really quiet inside and out
Of course kr has lots of under dash sound stopping panels

And some how the same b o radio with no headrest speakers sound better than my 22 did
Almost data overload with ipc guages. Only missing a real oil pressure number
For me the juice was worth the squeeze
I really liked my 22 150
So this 250 had to bring it

I love my 2023 F150 Tremor V8, but it will be really tough not to get a 250 next time around. I miss the regular size bed. Only reservation will be that it will have to become an "outside" truck. But that comes with some upsides as well...as in more garage space for my motorcycles.
