My order was cancelled twice by Ford but I still lucked out on a Lariat 502A Lead Foot . Got a Ceramic 9H coating and undercoat protection, plus Line x on the bed. Want to do rims and tires next. Leaning towards Fox 2.0 coilovers and HRE rims on Nitto Recon Grapplers. Will update as things progress. Anyone recommend anything else over the Fox 2.0s?

I'm still waiting for the Gen 14 systems to come out and then see some reviews. Thought I'd have the level kit, wheels and tires done before winter but seems like I'll be waiting till spring. Lots of people are using the old gen stuff, it just has to be Jerry-rigged a bit.

Nice truck.

It’ll be a slow work in progress but I just can’t stop staring at it already, leadfoot really is such a unique color! I’m hoping to get the falcon tow leveling kit and some bigger tires at some point, just trying to save up the money for it all

No jerry rig needed they fit perfectly fine with no issues. Only difference is that you get slightly more lift than advertised because of the difference in suspension geometry of the new model. For example, I installed a 2 inch Bilstein 5100 shock and strut kit and got about 2.5 inches of front ride height vs stock. Same with the fox suspension, if you want an actual 2 inch lift you have to lower it 5/8inch under the 2 inch mark to achieve an actual 2 inch lift. Or else if you install at the 2 inch mark you'll get 2 5/8inch lift. Since most suspension upgrades have different height settings its not a big deal to go down a notch or lower it to achieve what you like because other than that they bolt up just the same as they do on previous models and work perfectly fine.

Interesting, most other posts I've seen they've said they had to make slight adjustments to fit properly.

The top bolt pattern/mounting spot and bottom mounting is the same as previous gens so as far as mounting/it bolting up it will with no issue. I think the adjustments you’ve been hearing about is the height adjustment that needs to be made for an accurate lift. Roush figured this out and it’s about 5/8 inch lower to get an accurate lift. For example if you want 2 inches of lift you can’t set it at the 2 inch mark on the coilover and call it a day because you will get more lift then you want. You have to lower 5/8 of an inch from the 2 inch mark and when you do that you will get an accurate 2 inch lift. I hope this makes sense.

This makes so much sense why I see some guys that have done the levels/lifts that the front looks much higher than the rear. They probably didn’t know it and doesn’t look too nice.

I noticed my truck was built in Dearborn. I thought Leadfoot trucks were only made in KC? Wondering if this is a regular occurrence...

Yep, mine's Dearborn. I know Guard is KC only, Smoked Quartz and Kodiak might be KC only too but I don't remember.

Yeah I was in the same situation I set it at the 2.1 inch setting (highest one) on my front struts and after installing them I got slightly over 2 and a half inches of lift. Now instead of having a slight amount of rake left i’m perfectly level or even a tad nose high by like 1/8-1/4 inch (haven’t measured exactly). I got used to it now and it doesn’t bother me much anymore and actually worked out for me for better clearance on a few offroad trips but I wish I would have known so I would have set it at a lower setting to keep some rake left.

This is my truck with the bilsteins set at the 2 inch setting (actually gave 2.5-2.6 inches of lift). Sits perfectly level (y)

and this is a side profile on mine (top) vs my buddies truck (bottom) with a 2 inch spacer. It’s hard to tell in the picture because we have different wheel and tire set ups and when I took a picture of my truck I didn’t have my camera perfectly leveled with the ground but if you look closely at the running boards and front end you can tell that his sits a tad lower than mine even though we both have a 2 inch set up. His is accurate though because he used a spacer and mine isn’t because I didn’t adjust my 15-20 bilstein struts to the 5/8 inch height adjustment needed and installed at the 2inch setting. Either way though it’s only about half an inch and doesn’t make too much of a difference.

I installed the Ford Performance 2.0. I initially made a 1/2" adjustment to be close to the 5/8" Roush recommends on theirs. What I got was 1.5" of level after settling. I redid them, adjusted the collar back to 3" on the shock body and have netted exactly 2" of level. These are obviously not the same kits but similar. One thing to note is they have different springs. I've seen others say they didn't need to adjust the Roush kit and some do. Seems like maybe a quality control issue that not all are adjusted the same.

That’s a beautiful truck!

Yes it is a little strange how the results vary on lift but apart from that I think the 15-20 versions work fine on our trucks and I love the ride and have zero complaints. I hope they start making the 21 specific version soon though because I’m curious if it’ll make any difference vs the 15-20.
