Yeah, really can't stress enough how good it would be to get a '22 for '21 pricing. There have been several stories on how increased commodity prices are being passed down to consumers, and it's expected that there will be a good size price increase on all '22 model year vehicles. Prices for most commodities used to build vehicles are agreed to the year before, that's how Ford and GM and others can set a price for a vehicle, and generally throughout the model year it doesn't change much.
But the '22 pricing will be based on 2021 negotiations on commodity pricing, and all signs indicate it will be higher, possibly a good deal higher, for certain items.
Some have already seen not-yet-built 2021 vehicles that were ordered before Ford even announced the new scales system getting it if they had Max Tow on their order, so they benefit there, and in the same way '21 orders that aren't in and have to become '22 orders may be saving $2-3k on the 2022 compared to someone placing a new 2022 order.
