Lots of them
There are currently 5,762 total F-150 retail unscheduled orders as of 2/12/24, excluding Raptor & Lightning. An increase of 486 retails in USOB since last week.

Retail USOB: Is the current mix of retail orders in the unscheduled order bank (USOB) at the time the report was run. The report only looks at orders that are “clean”, meaning they do not have a compatibility error, material hold or on 99 priority code.

See previous report.

I suspect that there are a good number of folks on a 99 Priority that are not counting in those statistics.

One of the most surprising things about this process is how it seems like Ford doesn't seem to prioritize sold orders. Considering the percentages are fairly stable meaning it is not new orders replacing old ones, it seems like the orders are not being pulled from retail orders, and with an output of what 2k trucks a day? That's not a lot of orders from retail being selected for production.

They make more than 2000 trucks a day. I think Dearborn is between 1600-1900 depending on labor, commodity shortages, and etc. while the Kentucky plant makes about 1500 +/- F150's a month (same/similar restrictions). The total number of retail and stock orders are not separating out for each location. Dearborn however, is the only one that makes the hybrid F150 and with Ford's push on the Powerboost, I wonder if that plant can keep up with the inevitable demand.

Only 86 orders on priority 99 according to this. I was surprised it wasn’t more.

What is a 99 Priority?
It means Do Not Build. Basically it is a way of pausing the build process for whatever reason. Right now, my dealer told me I was going to get scheduled unless I changed my priority code to 99. I want the Pro Access Tailgate, which is not available until Job 2. Thus, I moved my build to 99 Priority and "froze" it. When the Job 2 order guide is released, I will be moved back to a 19 Priority (standard retail order) or better. You ask why not just cancel and submit a new order? Because your order date remains the same if you use 99 to freeze it as opposed to getting a new order date. Thus, when I do get my priority code back to 10-19, Ford (in theory) will compare my build to other similar builds with the same priority. My earlier order date should be a factor. Bigger for me was the fact that I had a private cash offer (PCO) dependent on me ordering before January 1st. Thus, cancelling it would shaft me the PCO money, the 99 Priority preserved it.

Actually when you think about it, it makes sense. Folks on this board know to do that. Vast majority of orderers have no idea that they can even do that and there is only a handful of dealers like Granger or Long Mcarthur that will educate their buyers.

Good point. Most are just placing it and waiting for a call. Hell, most probably don’t know what a priority code even is. I wouldn’t without the group here.

I thought F-150s were built in Dearborn and Kansas City plants. KY is SuperDuty, Navigator and Expedition. Did that change?

@Newface Please pardon my lack of familiarity with this report ....

Does this mean that the listed packages are the ONLY thing in the current order guide which are not available for build at the time of the report, and there are no other constraints / items / "Commodities" not available for builds?

IOW, if one has not ordered one of the listed Black Packages, in theory your order could be built / delivered with everything you ordered?

I want to place an order but I'm not sure how the towing on the '24 is broken down. I see the gear ratio options have a designation of "with tow" but what does that mean? If I choose the 3.55 EL without the "tow", how is that different? I want to see a tow chart before placing an order.

I’m hoping the towing guide is issued with the job 2 order guide. The axle choices and their implications on towing capacity would be nice to know.
