It seems all the responces here are regarding lane keeping, not lane centering. The OP asked if lane centering could be used while towing. I have the same question, I get a pop up stating that lane centering is not available and was wondering if there is a way to make it available (can't find a selection) but maybe in FORSCAN?
Last I heard, no, you cannot activate lane centering while towing even in FORSCAN. It's a safety concern. I can see the issue with a large trailer that can be buffeted by crosswinds or passing big rigs. But when I'm towing a little bike trailer, that really isn't a concern and it would certainly be handy to have then!

But lane keeping still works right? Bouncing around is what can cause swaying. I would think centering would be safer than keeping.

Yes, lane keeping still works.

In calm weather, my centering works so well, that it often thinks I've let go of the wheel, when what is happening, is it is doing exactly what I would do, so there is no resistance.

But in the wind, it can get less smooth and in harsh wind, even a little erratic. Probably better that it doesn't work in towhaul.

The two have different purposes. Lane Keeping is intended to alert you if you drift out of your lane, sort of like rumble strips with a little correction added in. Lane Centering is one step from hands-free driving, where the truck is effectively doing the driving and you are simply monitoring what it is doing.

Unfortunately, LC while towing was removed for some 2023 trucks with no DIY solution. There's one other thread here and on another f150 message board discussing it, also confirming that the functionality was given back for 2024 trucks.

For me, when LC is usable without a trailer, it's usable with a trailer, which is the 75% of the time that it tracks the center perfectly and isn't ping ponging. The trailer's tires will track the center even better than I can in most instances.

Due to a software update, it is now dangerous that it gets auto enabled when cruise is enabled.
