The K&N website has updated their page and added part numbers for air filters and cold air intakes for the 2021 Ford F-150.

I’ve used their rechargeable high performance air filters in other vehicles of mine, and it’s quality stuff. About every 20,000 miles you can clean the filter and “recharge” it via one of K&N’s Recharging Kits. You wouldn’t believe the crap that I’ve rinsed out of mine! That means it’s doing it’s job, though, and that’s junks not in my engine!

I just picked up a replacement filter for my F-150 running the 3.5L EcoBoost. Can’t wait to pop it in!

Here is the website for those of you interested in their filters and other bolt on parts:

I am also eagerly awaiting the listing of a compatible K&N cabin air filter as well.

Don’t waste your money folks.

A dry filter that can be rinsed and put back in is a better option than one that uses oil.

Your MAF sensor will thank you.

Mass Air Flow

I’ve ran a K&N filter and air intake on my last two trucks and I didn’t have any issues. But, while the K&N system did help the mileage with the natural aspirated engine, it didn’t do as much with the current truck’s EB engine get better mileage.

Oh okay but are K&N and similar type of air filters really worth the cost and what about the maintenance of them?

I am the original owner of a 2008 4.6l f150 with roughly 230,000 miles on it. I have only purchased one air filter for this vehicle to date. I still have 770,000 miles left on its warranty. I'd say the $40 I spent in 2008 was worth it? Idk, according to some of the internet mechanics/financial planners in this thread, I wasted my money...

Do you have to be concerned about any warranty issues from Ford?

Personally, I prefer and have always used the WIX X series air filters as well as their XP series oil filters and cabin filters.

No, the air filters are not washable but if that’s your preference, take a look at AirRaid, AEM, and AFE.
All three of these brands make washable air filters that don’t require oil.

In closing, don’t believe the hype about increased HP and TQ when replacing an air filter and don’t fall for the CAI kit trap.

If the MAF goes out while your vehicle is under warranty, if they see that youre using an oiled air filter, more than likely they will say that’s what cause the MAF to go bad so they can 100% deny your warranty claim on the MAF and you will have to come out of pocket.

Ummmm, there’s no such thing as a million mile air filter warranty.
