Here is what I’m thinking based on info cobbled together from different sources.

C&D reported that an 8” touchscreen would be standard and that there would be a 15.5” infotainment option. When Ford debuted SYNC 4 at the end of October last year, it confirmed the 15.5” screen but did not specifically mention the F-150 would get it. C&D seems to be making the connection but not sure if it has real info about it or just speculating.

All this to say that I think the Lariat interior that was spied actually showed the 15.5” screen while the image in the first post maybe is a mid-level 12” option? I’d welcome 3 screen size options but this is pure speculation on my part.

It looks too big to be 8" and too small to be 15.5" so gotta be the 12 inch ;)

Since the center dash area for the screen has been enlarged to accommodate the huge 15”+ screen, now there’ll be even more dead trim space surrounding the middle and smallest sized screens unfortunately.

also looks like the gear shifter is attached to the steering wheel and the dash is not digital. most likely a peek at the xlt, right?

Agreed, the MachE’s 15.5 inch screen (below) is massive. To me it looks like the 12 inch screen in both the Lariat and the one above. Maybe just that the image on the screen isn’t stretched to the display borders.

I’d really like that in an f150 though

Will the 2021s still have the smaller screen?

Sorry, I find a display that large absolutely unnecessary in any vehicle. It looks like someone velcro'ed an IPAD to the dash. Tacky (in my opinion).

I agree and it looks even more like an iPad not even integrated into the dash/center stack. It makes more sense in a MachE. I'm skeptical Ford would put this into an F-150. I found the CD article that Fiver was talking about.

"The changes should be more obvious inside. Attempting to catch up with Ram's upscale interiors, Ford's Limited, King Ranch, and Platinum models will include more premium materials and touch points. An 8.0-inch infotainment display comes standard while an optional 15.5-inch screen takes on square proportions in a nod to the Instagram generation. Both run on the brand's latest software, Sync 4."

IF the Lariat is not the 15.5 (compared to the Mach-E it seems much smaller), I am really not sure how they will fit it judging by this picture. The screen is already stretched to its limits. They'd have to rework the whole center stack just for that screen which is highly unlikely. SO either it IS the 15.5 or the 15.5 is vaporware IMO.

Remember, you measure diagonally. Top left to bottom right, or top right to bottom left. The Lariat screen is over 12 inches.

The Mach-e's screen is bigger diagonally than its steering wheel. Clearly not the same size as the one in the Lariat. So who knows. Optical illusion since one is portrait vs landscape?
