I'm trying to hardwire my dash cam into the interior fuse box down by the passenger's feet.

How do you remove the trim piece in the center of the handle pictured to access the screws to remove the pillar trim? it looks like there is a small hole that you should be able to just stick something into it and pry it out but i've tried several objects and they have all bounced out of the hole without moving it at all so I think i'm doing something wrong. (drivers side is pictured cause I was on that side when I decided to take the picture)

Thanks

I believe you remove the outside part of the handle to access the bolts. There is a small little spot in the cover you use to pop it off.

That is what I have been trying to do, but I was using keys and then when that didn't work tried a screwdriver but neither worked. I'm sure I have pick hook somewhere so i'll give that a try once I find/buy one lol. thx

no need to take it out. just run the wire across the top of the plastic pillar and tuck it in. that's all I did.

It’s two bolts behind the cover on the handle. It’s easy to do but use caution if you’re not only using your fingers. It scratches really easy. Also, once the bolts are out, it easily comes out. There is an airbag behind it as well, so use caution if your just tucking the wire if you don’t take it off.

If you push hard enough toward the middle of the handle like arrow 1 shows, there will be enough room to grab where arrow 2 points to pop it off. That’s how I did it to replace my factory tweeters.

Don’t have to take it off, simply use a trim tool to tuck the wire in.

I broke mine. One of the little loops tore. Plus I scuffed it. You gotta get your hook really in there and up around the edge to get a good pull on it.

I think the part number is ML3B-15025B16-AFW?
