Installed H8 AGM battery; my truck is transformed

Hey folks we aren't Cosco members and while a few folks have mentioned other brands, I was wondering if there is a tried and true H8 option out there that I can grab and drop in?

I too have been getting the warnings, pretty randomly but no more than a week goes by before one pops up.

Napa and Walmart if you want the budget option and X2 from Batteries Plus if you want to spend a little more for a premium battery.

Those are the three that all my research has pointed me towards.

It’s my understanding the X2 is only available in the H7 size and not the H8.

I stand corrected. I guess I only saw the H7. I thought I saw the H8 X2 on their website.

ordered the 4D Tech Auto Start Stop Eliminator off Amazon before even buying the truck, so it would be here to install as soon as I got home from the stealership.

After limping along with the original Ford H6 battery my '23 5.0L came with, I finally caved and installed a new Platinum Diehard H8 AGM from Advance Auto. I already had bought the Ford factory insulating sleeve for the H8 size battery (which is now back in stock), so the battery swap was very simple.

What is the exact model number of the Platinum Diehard H8 AGM and is the insulated sleeve the only other part needed to change the battery to an H8? Looking to do the same on my soon to arrive 2025 F-150.

You would think a name like "Diehard" would carry a 5 year warranty at minimum, I'm sure it's a good battery, but the 3 year warranty is disappointing.

Suppose given AA discounts and potential point/rewards combo, you may be able to drop the out the door price significantly, but it still seems steep for only a 3 year warranty.

I wouldn't warranty any LeadAcid/AGM battery for 5 years that's going to be installed in a "connected services" vehicle of any manufacturer.

Low Voltage battery issues in the latest most tech laden makes/models is pretty common.

I have had my battery replaced and the BCM reset. The truck is behaving normally.

However, I talked with the service manager yesterday. He looked in the system, and the battery SOC is 59%. This was after a 35-minute drive.

So, yesterday I ordered two NOCO Genius GEN5X1. One for my 2024 F150 KR and a second for my wife's 2024 Escape Platinum. Hopefully, this helps the batteries maintain 80% or higher.

I have 3 of them for charging my vehicles. You can buy the pig tails separately and connect them to the batteries.

Need some help please

got my new H8 installed, tried to reset the BMS per the owners manual but I don’t see a battery symbol when the ignition is on, and truck not started. The truck shows 3 messages on the instrument cluster, battery state of charge low, parking brake on, and the last escapes me right now. Tried multiple times with same results, and the brake symbol in red letters remains on while the truck is running.
Ideas?

After a good nights rest, the truck has cleared the brake warning light, and after driving into work I was able to use the sequence listed in the manual to reset the BMS.
