Didn’t even get a chance to dig my truck out of the snow today, have a sneaking suspicion when I go to start it up tomorrow it’s going to be deader than a doorknob.

Used to get notifications when truck was going into deep sleep and things of that nature, does the app not do that anymore?
Depends on your battery. Ford OEM battery? If not you may be just fine.

Interesting comments. I'm one of the lucky ones whose factory stop start was factory deleted. I'm still doing ok (famous last words) with my Factory H6. Wonder if there is a connection. That said, my typical driving distance per usage has dropped in the last year. That alone might jump up and bite me soon......
I had a 2022 XLT 302a with the start/stop delete. I had the "battery saver mode" issue off and on while I owned the truck. My current 2024 KR PB also has the "battery saver mode" BS. The XLT had the H6 battery, and the KR has an H7. Same problem. I agree with those that say the Motorcraft batteries are pieces of shit. Based on the many that have done it, replacing the POS Motorcraft battery with any other brand battery appears to fix the issues.

I've only had my KR a couple months now, with 1300 miles on it. It angers me that an 80k truck has such a POS battery, that I will need to shell out yet another extra couple hundred bucks to put in a quality battery that will let me use all the features that I paid for. As of now, when the truck has its "battery saver mode" fits, I have no interior lights, no approach lighting, inability to remote start using the app, being unable to listen to the radio with the truck off, and other random stuff that doesn't work. Ford doesn't GAF, four years in on this generation of F150's, and they STILL have not done ANYTHING to fix this issue. I had a 2017 Lariat and a 2019 XLT F150, I drove those trucks less than my 2022 and 2024, and I NEVER had any "battery saver mode" BS.

I will replace the battery eventually, but even with the battery saver issues, I just can't bring myself to shell out MORE money on a brand new truck right now.

My truck came with a motorcrap h6. Swapped it out for a Costco h8. Night and day. Sure, I could've went h6 again with the Costco battery, but why not have the extra capacity if it fits? So h8 it is. I installed this too:

NOCO GENIUS2D, 2A Direct-Mount Onboard Car Battery Charger, 12V Automotive Charger, Battery Maintainer, Trickle Charger, Float Charger and Desulfator for Marine, ATV, Truck and Deep Cycle Batteries https://a.co/d/3P2YT1b

So I plug in my truck when I'm home most days. Been smooth sailing on the power front.

Original H6 that went in during production. 🙃

Thankfully it looks like the local Wally World I could trek to if needed has some H8s in stock.

For your information, guys, Walmart sells its H6, H7, and H8 Everstart Platinum AGM batteries all for the same price: $179.84.

These AGMs all come with a no-questions asked 4-year replacement warranty.

At that same price with same warranty, it was a no-brainer for me to select the H8.

And, at least at my store, they are $10 cheaper in-store than on-line.

Idk, $10 extra not to go into that place seems like the real bargain more times than not.

I went in on the auto care side at 8:00 on a Sunday morning. Told the guy what I needed, went to the shelf, grabbed it, paid for it, and dropped the core on the way out. I was in there maybe 5 minutes.

Trying to take this all in... So am I correct in assuming that many of you deactivate the auto stop/start in order to reduce strain on the battery? I usually leave it on and try to manage whether it activates by the pressure of my foot on the pedal. It seems to work better than my Honda Passport did, except the Passport would indicate if the stop/start conditions were met; my F150 only indicates if you apply enough pressure for it to engage. I hate when it activates accidentally but I do like it for long traffic lights.

Oddly enough I discovered that my wife's ten year old Volvo has an H6 battery. We bought the car used at three years old. It has the same battery as the day we bought it. Probably made by Varta.

when the time comes, i'll probably up the size of my battery too. 22 Lariat 3.5EB...
at around 18k miles, i was getting updates unable to install, radio shutting off and notifications in Ford pass about low state of charge.
I took it to Ford, showed them a screen shot of the messages, said i couldnt get OTA's and needed the battery checked. Ford replaced it. not sure what i had but they put in a new H6...which has been fine for over a year now.

Been watching this thread

My 22 was in deep sleep mode right outta da box. I special ordered it, was built in Dearborn, and within 2 weeks from birth I was driving it. Will be replacing mine soon with a H7 or H8, just need to find the time.

Didn’t read all of these but I’ll add my two cents. For over a year DTP was hot swapping ECM’s just to get trucks from the plant to various parking sites within Ford property. I took part in some of this at my site. These brand new trucks sat for ages, no maintenance or anything until ECM’s were available to be installed so the truck could be deliverable to dealers. And no real checks or maintenance on the charging. They were jumped to start if needed but otherwise that was it. And even when all components were available for final assembly the trucks were still stashed on a lot for a long long time. Fully doesn’t surprise me the issues I’m reading here. I know many batteries were replaced but not always. And those batteries weren’t exactly fresh either I’d imagine.
In another forum I've remarked on the standing of these trucks. Aside from the corrosion etc, batteries do not like being let stand. A lead acid battery has a self discharge rate of 1 or 2% per week. So that could also be an issue with the battery goings on. Still in all, my take is also that Ford has taken delivery of a bad batch of batteries (and probably continuing to do so).
