Driving from Mesa to Flagstaff today in the 2021 Powerboost. 1240 feet elevation to 6909 feet in 75+ degrees. About 20 miles out of Flagstaff it all broke loose.

I was able to limp into Flagstaff and park at the Ford Dealer but they are closed until Tuesday.

When I shut it off it would not turn back on. About 30 minutes later it was able to start back up. Not sure if we should try to go to Vegas tonight.

I just had the trailer brake controller recall done in Mesa. The truck has 22k miles.

Forgot to say with the 21 foot camper trailer

Yesterday afternoon we ended up driving from Flagstaff to near the Hoover dam and boondocked. I was thinking maybe it overheated the Modules because I did that mountain climb in eco mode instead of tow mode. It just bothered me that tow mode even turns off the engine down the hills.

Everything ran perfectly in tow mode for the rest of the trip, but we didn't climb 5500 feet after the trip to Flagstaff. So note to self. Just suck up the extra fuel use and drive in tow mode when pulling a trailer. It would be nice if they locked eco mode out when they detect a trailer connected.

Just curious what speed were you climbing the grade between Mesa and Flagstaff? There was a thread some time ago that documented Ford PowerBoost was only tested pulling a trailer up a long continuous grade at 45 mph.

Looks like we have a similar trailer. Just a different floorplan.

Ours is a 2016 Micro Lite 23LB. Only 3,900 lbs dry (figure about 5,000 lbs loaded)but still haul in tow mode.

I was probably going 60mph.
