We are sitting here at the camp fire at a no hookup campground in Ithaca, NY.

We have lights on, Fridge on, Water heater, etc... We are camping no differently than if we were connected to shore power. The rest of the campground is dark, getting around by flashlight. Not that there is anything wrong with that at all.

It just amazes me that we are even able to do this.

I have also learned a few things about the generator mode that I will share on our YouTube channel this week.

always happy to see an enthusiast youtube channel start the journey.
what are the specs on that trailer (length/weight) and the mpg (mph) towing?
The RV is 29' on paper but 34' in reality. I haven't taken it to the scales but I would guess it is about 8,000 lbs. The ProPride hitch makes it way safer to tow.

I watched your video on the Pride hitch – seems like it's worth the extra length to control that much trailer behind a half ton.

The only real big benefit I see with it is that it's quieter than most generators that can put of the same power. (and obviously not having to transport a seperate generator :))

So it's a pretty nice feature but not sure why it's so game changing honestly. (I went with an Ecoboost instead because I own multiple generators already so maybe I just don't want regrets :ROFLMAO:).

You said it while putting it off as nothing.

Quieter, integrated into truck, less expensive are all nice features to have.

Agree for a $750 feature it’s worth it… some would argue one more electronic failure, but it’s to the point now that it’s inevitable… even the basic trucks aren’t so basic anymore.

I just used mine traveling down the east coast from NH to Disney and staying over night at Cracker Barrels we had everything running just as we would with shore power. I talked to a few fellow RV's next to us and asked if the engine starting in my truck bothered them and none of them even heard it.

I love this setup.

Until something breaks from all the running hours . I will take my Honda generator any day before buying one of these options.
