$69.95 for "The 'works' ".

Fine, it's cheaper than the last oil change I had, but here's a service they offer:

"There are no two ways you can get vehicle service without every leaving home. With Ford Pickup & Delivery, we'll pick up your vehicle, service it at the dealership and drop it back off"

Took me a while to stop laughing and then I remembered all the people here who won't even let their mechanics ("boys") touch their trucks, let alone drive it to/from the dealership.
I'll let them change my oil but I'll cut an arm before letting them drive it from my home to the dealership and back.

And then underneath it they mention "Ford Mobile Service" (sending a technician to my place to do the work). What the hack is this? Anyone tried that before? Not even sure my HOA will allow that 😂

We actually have the mobile service come to our work and perform various maintenance. It's a lot cheaper then sending techs to drop off the truck and pick it up. It's also a free service (so far) as in no additional charge for them coming out.

the girl that drove it back has driven me back and forth a few times when they needed to keep the other vehicles, she is very safe.
they take pictures all around and of mileage to add to receipt.
i thought it was a great service since i didnt want to get up at 8 am
i think she is only one i would let drive the truck 🤗

yup
she fits that bill, for a younger person she is pretty professional,
i think the dealerships owner's influence on his people is showing his roots to treat people like family you like and they come back. it refreshing this day in age

Dude, you aint lying. You're never gonna see that at 99% of the dealerships out there. In certain situations I can see the benefit. For an oil change, i'll likely do my own and add the record to Ford App myself.

there was a post card from the dealer service MANAGER thanking me for recent service work they did on my wifes edge .
signed, not typed.
they may be small, but the owner is really trying to push old school values and customer service
he just needs to install a tunnel car wash for after service experience 🤗 🤗

I may have do my own oil change if Ford engineers would find a way to design oil drainage, both from the oil pan and the filter, in such a way that will not cause an insane amount of mess and cleaning requirement. With such a huge engine and engine bay, one would think that it is pretty easy to accomplish. I am too old to clean that mess, based on what I saw on Youtube. Really no need for that.

I saw a fellow break the oil filter loose then take a plastic beverage cip, slide it over the filter and finish taking it off. Oil stayed in the cup.

I feel lucky. I have a mailer from my dealer for the works for $49.95. This is their normal price. I believe they change for 1 additional quart of oil on my truck.
