I have a PowerBoost engine cover on my EcoBoost

Hello!

I have a 2021 XLT 3.5 ecoboost. I opened the hood to change the oil and noticed a power boost engine cover. Anyone else have this phenomenon??

I never even noticed before.

You weren't the only one! At least it isn't your job to differentiate between the two.

GM was so bad at things like this, that it was a regular occurrence to have to go into the parking lot at the factory and swap Oldsmobile for Pontiac grilles on their shitty 80's K-car wannabes.

Not sure about the Ecoboost cover but the Powerboost one seems soft like a medium density foam. Must be an effort at noise reduction.

Anyone know how to remove it. I can’t tell if it takes a socket or some other bit to get it off.
