I got my 2022 antimatter blue F-150 with the chome package since it had the features I wanted for a great deal. In another life I would have gotten a white sport model, but this thing still rocks.

One thing that annoyed me a little was how out of place the black plastic mirror caps looked on this thing.

I found these mirror cap covers for $43 on ebay, which just stick onto the outside of the mirrors (no drilling for camera hole required). No wind noise either, and stick-on fitment is almost factory like unless you get super close.

I solemnly swear, I will not put spinners or any more chrome on this thing.

Is that chrome window trim too? I thought that was a lariat thing. My 22 XLT chrome has the shittiest black window trim you've ever seen. It always has a ridiculous amount of dirt trapped in it.

Its just the black plastic in the lighting. No chrome window trim.

I'm glad you don't mind the chrome. The console shifter was a killer for the sport package for me so i ordered a chrome xlt slated to be built in about a week. I think it looks great with your blue, we'll see with my avalanche....cheers on the new truck!

Yeah that was the other killer for me on the sport trucks. For the 21+ trucks the column shift got better and the console got worse. I actually didn't mind the console on my 15.

I just finished removing the last of the chrome this week on my sport. I had 12 years with a chrome package truck so now I'm all anti chrome for the next 10-12 years.

I do like the chrome with dark colors. The bright colors look better with black. I like the contrast.

Truck looks good. You can get chrome stick on things for windows too over the black.

I would agree with that. Console shifter on the 15 and 18 were fine but the 21 not so much. It’s shorter and sits further towards the back. For myself, I sit like a race car driver, very close to the wheel and if you want to shift it’s more difficult to grab the shifter.

I don't mind console coming from over decade with column shifter. I still struggle with reaching in the air to shift every time I go to back into a spot. I'll figure it out eventually.

I just don't get the point of the console shifter. They offer the interior work surface which, when combined with a column shifter makes for a really cool space for my dachshund or my wife's laptop while driving (hopefully). The console shifter wastes this space and offers no advantage in my mind...I'll take that chrome trim any day. Now the black interior, that I will likely miss.

I've been looking at new trucks (in case mine ends up being totaled) and found a very nice XLT high in avalanche with chrome package. Not ordinarily a chrome on trucks guy, but that truck looked damn good and I would have bought it on the spot. Just a really, really good looking vehicle

Ah that gives me hope. I've never put eyes on an Avalanche Chrome 157" WB before so I'm happy you enjoyed the one you saw. Lord knows I better enjoy it when I cut those checks every month! Antimatter blue was the only other color I considered as luck would have it. OP's truck is beautiful

And for the record, it's not that I dislike chrome, but where I grew up, lets just say some people took their love of chrome way past what I would call good looking.

My buddy has a 15 chrome lariat in caribou that I think has aged better than the sport trucks of that gen.

Looks good, I have the same truck. Just changed from column to console shifter this morning. Ergonomics on the console shifter isn't perfect, but much better than column, in my opinion.

Chrome might not be the trend but it is pretty timeless. I suspect it will end up looking better 5 years from now. I have an xlt on order with the column shifter so I might be little biased. good looking truck. I think Blue and chrome is a great combination.
