I know that most of us haven't owned our trucks long enough to replace these items yet, but I went ahead and made a couple of videos to show everyone how easy this is to do yourself! I know most of us are "enthusiasts" and probably do this anyway, but if you don't, you should! Don't get taken by the dealer for these simple things. You'll spend about $25 for both filters, need no tools, and less than 5 minutes!

I always replace these myself. I used to have a Macan, and the dealer wanted $200+ to replace a filter I could buy for $16.

Glad this is posted. I’ll plan on doing the cabin air filter myself too once it’s due.

I already changed out my air filter on my 3.5 EcoBoost for a higher performance K&N filter. Pretty “plug and play”, not much to it either.

Is this the same process for the Platinum Powerboost?

I have had K&Ns on all my past vehicles, but I was wondering if you knew if installing a K&N will voids the warranty?

The cabin air filter is likely the same. I don’t know about the engine filter though.
They are indeed the same. Took out the glove box, to see. 3.5 PowerBoost Engine. Thanks for the video.

It’s not supposed to. To me it’s no different if you used any other brand of filter instead of genuine Ford filters and fluids.
