My 21 f150 mirros are folding in and out in a herky-jerky manner. Has anyone ever found a how-to guide to lubricate them appropriately?

Thanks, in advance

Hahah - speaking of, is she in jail yet? From the memecoin debacle?
Doubt it, but she had posted some long winded apology of sorts to her followers on "X/Tiwtter."

If using one of the 'dry-lube' sprays, be ready to promptly wipe-off the unsightly white residue left when the liquid carrier volatizes.

Personally, I found 'no joy' when trying Blaster Dry Lube Spray for this application, just an unsightly white powder mess to clean off of the textured black plastic mirror components.

The housing is sonically welded. Tried to remove the metal from the inside, broke a razorblade trying to separate, on the verge of destructive disassembly so I paused. About the only thing you can do is lube up this area right here. The motor assembly leaks what appears to be white lithium and there's no way to put any back in sans drilling a hole into the housing somewhere.

Boeshield T9 comes in a liquid and a spray.

I haven't used it on plastic yet but the manufacturer says it is safe for it.

It does not turn white.

I suspect it's a worm drive just like the shifter. When the mirror is folding in, inspect the lower portion still on the truck and you should see the rubber that I outlined above. You can try a lubricant on the rubber itself as shown here. This area should be obvious when folded.

Eh, I'd be careful what you use. It's just rubber, and will end up on the truck eventually. Not sure if it will really do much in the long run.
