How Long a Wait?

Just ordered my 2022 F 150 King Ranch Powerboost yesterday. Dealer said it was hard to know a delivery date. He said the "official word" was still 12 weeks but that it could be up to 6 months. What are people experiencing in terms of time from placing an order to actual delivery?

~16 weeks - order of 10/2 to delivered 1/17 . Plat Powerboost High.

Understand that this was ordered after the last supply chain chip/parts shutdowns, and during the non - Adaptive Steering (AS) ordering issues in November (I have AS), and before the December (?) high trim limited availability scheduling issues, and the current supply chain chip/parts issues and shutdowns.

So YMMV. Others who ordered similar trims in my time frame are still waiting on VINs.

Look at the different build weeks for trackers to see others in your trim line for their dates. Also look at the unscheduled thread for builders still waiting on a VIN.

4 months. 4-6 months seems common but some get them quicker and some much longer my advice is settle in for the long haul

The good news is its worth the wait.

Ordered in June, I would carefully review window stickers of trucks at your local dealers and make sure your order is identical to trucks actually arriving. If you want something unique or special be prepared to wait.

Less than 60 days from order to delivery. Of course it was a supercab xlt mid.

Limited with work surface and lay flat seats, ordered 10-28-21 built 1-11-22 still waiting, on chip hold.
so only 4 months in, tracker says maybe May 5'th, if so 7 months.
In for the long haul.

Same model/options/engine as Viper. Ordered on 1/15/22. No VIN. Order confirmed. Dealer updated me last week 4-6 months. I am prepared to hear it will get bumped to a '23 model and I might get it until next year around this time. Good Luck.

Thanks to all. The feedback is really helpful . . . pretty much what I suspected regarding a higher trim truck. Am planning on 6 months, perhaps longer.

It sounds like the average wait is 4-6 months, I'm at 4 months no build date yet. At this point I'm just enjoying my current car as much as possible and trying to get the truck out of my mind until it is actually built.

I hop on here now and then to see if there are any general updates.
