Velgen's VFF6 Lightweight series wheels
22x10 +33
Recon Grapplers LT285/55r22

The stuff that matters. Weight, especially rotational mass.

Going from the OEM wheel/tire to a much larger (and heavier) LT285/55 tire on the OEM wheel wreaked hell on the whole premise behind owning a powerboost. I lost 3-4mph highway and about the same in the city, if not more.

Going from ~86lbs total to 107lbs was absolutely drastic.

Queue Velgens new VFF6 "ultra light" truck wheels. Scott, the owner, has always been around the car scene and we've spoken before regarding other platforms. When I reached out about the new wheels I had 2 main concerns, structural integrity and weight. He assured me I couldn't break them and I could get back pretty close to stock total rotational mass again.

So, A 22x10 +33 VFF6 and the same LT285/55 recon grappler is.....

91.3 !!!

The wheel is a staggering 15.7lbs lighter than the OEM Limited 22x9

I'm here to tell you, the mileage shot right back up!
