Let's see what hitch covers you are putting on your truck! I have the dealer supplied plastic one and want to swap it out for something different. I'd prefer to just leave my hitch on full time, but I only have about another 1" of clearance length-wise, so that's not an option. I was looking at going either black/red ford logo or with a blacked out American flag.

Good reminder! My previous XLT was black with sport package (more black) so I had a black rubber hitch plug I carried over. Thanks for reminding me, I wanted to get a KR one or something to better match new truck's aesthetics.

I've never used one because I generally kept my drop hitch connected. I'm not towing much now so off it stays. The dealer stuck their own plug in and I'll leave it for now.

It's gotta cost more, but it's definitely classier than stickers on the tailgate.

I went a little spendy https://hmcbillet.com/collections/h...rs/products/trailer-hitch-cover-american-flag
This is what I'm considering but it is also in the spendy category. The problem is that I hate having to use a tool when I just want to remove it and hitch up my trailer. But then if I just use an easy to remove one it can get stolen. <sigh>

I was considering that one and painting the raised logo red.

This was one I was eyeing on Amazon:

I was looking at that one and others similar to it, but there were too many reviews saying the holes they drilled didn't line up or they faded quickly so I'm hoping the HMC earns the price tag. The HMC isn't flush which I'm sure is by design but I wish it was a tighter fit.

That looks nice, couldn't you just use a separate locking pin? I have a locking pin similar to this, just keep a key in the truck or on your keychain and then you have less to worry about losing the hitch cover or getting your trailer dropped if you park for an extended period of time.

If mine disappears, I'll plug in the hitch that I've had for a while. Most recently the Ram

Something fairly simple. This is what I plan to use once my truck finally gets in!

Is it good? My only concern is that it will vibrate/wiggle out over time and it will get lost.
