Highest mileage 2.7?

2023 with the 2.7L - put on the road 8 months ago, currently at 67,000km.

For my purposes - this engine is the reason I buy these trucks.

bumper to bumper warranty is finished, have powertrain covered to 200,000km.

A few minor issues have been resolved, none with powertrain.

I do full synthetic every 8,000km.

To my knowledge the current 2.7EB champ (yes a 2016 Gen1 but still...) - 465,000 Mile 2.7 - Page 50 - Ford F150 Forum - Community of Ford Truck Fans .

Bought new in June 2016, sold (traded in) for a new Ram in Aug. 2021. Was a hotshot driver, put LOTS of hwy miles on. Regular oil/filter changes. Did replace a water pump at some point. Sold because the tranny (6 sp) was crapping out, OBD issues, etc.

Why did he sell it then buy a RAM? "He'd had a bit of an issue with the trans where it shuddered and wherever he took it put a "tube" of something in it that cleared it up for a while but he was feeling it coming back. He'd also begun seeing a very random "yellow wrench" on the dash. When it came on the truck was limited to about 60mph. He was feeling some repair bills coming on, so while it was doing OK, he bailed. When they put the deal in front of him, he couldn't sign it fast enough. Turns out that the appraiser listed the mileage at 46,500 and the Ram dealers offer was a lowball at that mileage. But it was HUGE for a truck with 465,000 miles and some issues.

Dash screenshot at 383,136 miles - 7374 engine hrs, 548 idle hrs (56.1 mph ave., yikes) - certainly not a putt around town truck.

I’m days away from 1 year with mine and I have just surpassed 8000kms on it! How have you driven so much? Haha

I’ve put another 20k on it since you replied, sorry didn’t see it! Used for work, drive as much as a hot shot does. My usual round trip is around 4,000km - sometimes that’s weekly

Hello. I have 215,000 miles on my 2018 2.7 plugs and coils replaced one time. Gulf semi synthetic every 5,000 miles. Only other 18+ that Ive seen with 200k miles was a post of someone out west that took thier boy up to Montana to pick up one that was even more miles than mine and they seemed real happy with the truck.

Sold my 2018 2.7 with 82K.....never had any issues but the dash going black. That was replaced under warranty. Oil changes every 6k, now the person that bought it from me has a left catalytic converter code and the infotainment screen is starting to black out but aside from that no other issues. Was a 9 to 5 all day start amd stop driver and still is, 85k no engine or tranny issues. Without exception always a great engine thata why ford put it as a standard engine, unless ur a bronco 2.7 lol

I have a 2021. Turning over 100,00k in 500 miles. Only motor issue is oil leak. I think the driver side valve cover is cracked. Its going in to get checked next week.

Im going to have to do a front wheel bearing. The transmission does the hard 3rd downshift now and then and is a surgy from 3-4 occasionally. I hope I get some time out of it before it needs a new drum.
I bought it from a fleet. They said all they did was do brakes oil changes and the plugs/coils. 1 tranny fluid change at 150,000.
The oil pump belt has me worried. Im hoping with time lots of folks get on here reporting high mileage low maintenance costs 18-20s like the 15-17 has such a good record of.
My hunch is that ford put a little extra effort in making reliability and longevity a priority on the 2015 to try and redeem the brand after the previous decade of triton f150s and then started getting cute again in 2018 with the 10 speed, replacing an oil pump chain with a belt, messing with the 5.0 and causing it to burn oil, changing the intake valve alloy on the 21-22 2.7 causing them to take out the engine, etc.

Ive seen several 2018+ with 250k miles+ for sale around the country. There was this one posted on the mileage impossible page on Facebook with over 500k miles
