I agree that is how it is written. What is odd is that there are a number of 22’s online with window stickers only showing the assist 2.0 (which is std on the 502a) with the tow tech package and or 360 camera. The actual truck pics shows the parking sensors equipped . Oddly enough that is how you get the sensors on a 501a.

seems to be random
Oh, wow. That's crazy, but then again with how Ford does its options, and what is allowed and not allowed depending a variety of different configurations, I guess it doesn't surprise me. Just makes it difficult for the consumer, you have to really read all the fine print to know if you are actually getting the options/features you want...

The 502 comes with the co-pilot assist included so you’re not missing out on that if you go with the high. I went with the high because I wanted the active and the ccd those were only available on the high

Yep, tell me about it ha! I was considering stepping down to the 501A just to ensure having sensors, but I really want the features of the 502A (plus the looks). I guess if all else fails the camera can be used up front to park in tight situations. I don't do enough highway to justify the active prep package for Bluecruise (as much as I think its cool).

Just crazy a 71.5k msrp truck doesn't have these standard.

I have a 22 XLT 302A. On mine one of my favorites features is the 360 camera. Could not be without it now that I've had it lol.

Unless they have changed it for 2022, the 2.0 assist package does NOT come with the front sensors. You have to get the Active package to get the front parking sensors.

I have a 502A with the 2.0 assist, and there are no front sensors.
Wow that is crazy. I got a 501A with the 2.0 assist (no active prep) and it does have the front sensors. I do also have the 360 camera which may be the difference but I thought that was a requirement of 2.0 assist.

Is it that theres 2.0 assist, 2.0 360 assist and then active prep… sort if a good, better, best kind of thing?

Torn between two trucks for order.. pricing came out much closer than I was suspecting with the 502. Its more bare bones..missing the upgraded wheels, fx4 compared to my 501 build. I love the look of the 502A headlights and the upgraded rear seat heat and steering wheel would be nice since it will be parked outside a lot. I guess is the fx4 worth it? Would I be missing this? Also undecided about the wheels. I have moments where I really like the stock 18s, but the 20s always look nice in my opinion. I would be keeping the truck stock for the most part..possibly a front level, but stock size AT tires to be close to stock weight to preserve mpg.

Thanks for any thoughts/info!

What dealer is this? I’m half tempted to buy whichever one you pass up on.

Edit: just realized that this was for an order. Excellent price no matter which one you go for.

Right, that is just how wild Ford is with their options, and what you get. For a 502A, the only way I could get front sensors was to get the 2.0 Active. The assist loses the front sensors. I do have the 360 deg camera's so that isn't the differentiating factor...

I ordered in '21 March with a late '21 June delivery. So if there was a mid-year change or something. But I think they just do that stuff to push different trim levels into adding on more options to get some features.

To me the camera's are enough, so it doesn't really matter that I don't have the front sensors.

I went with the 501A the price for the 502 just did not made it worth it to me to many electronics that could cause issues and delays. The only option I wished I had was the wireless charger.

I just got that wireless charger console tray which works great if you have the center console. Plus there’s a usb port in the console so I don’t even see the power cord. My only problem now is with the phone out of sight I constantly forget it, but I think I would have the same issue with the stock wireless.

I would go for the 502A for the headlights as well. With the Powerboost, you're already getting the locking rear axle, so you're not missing much out of the FX4 package.
