I ordered my XLT 302A almost the end of December. It hit the Ford ordering system Dec 30. Asked my sales rep about a VIN on Jan 12th and was told one had not been assigned yet. Three days later she sent me the VIN. This week I received an email saying the truck was being built this weekend & it would take two weeks to get through the plant. This doesn't make sense to me since it takes 24 hours to actually assemble it. I am thinking that she has a build window & the exact day will be scheduled this weekend. The on-line tracker still say it is in order processing. Anyone else receive this type of information from their dealer?

Order processing until it is being built
Actual birthday may be a day later when it crosses the finish line
Then you get
Built>awaiting shipment>in transit

Once built or has a date, the dealer can give you a status report.
That will provide the window of delivery
ETA start date = mon/da/yr
ETA end date= Mon/da/yr

Dealer delivery should be somewhere between those two dates

My name is Justin. I live in Gatineau, Qc Canada. Just signed up to a 24 months lease yesterday. Truck should be built on March 2nd and delivery on March 15th. This will be replacing a 2008 Toyota Yaris(quite de difference).

True, might be optimistic on Build and delivery. Almost identical specs to yours has been on order since November and I still don't have a build and delivery date. But There are a few options holding up my build so may not impact yours.

Looks like the order was placed on Dec 23rd. I guess my dealership had some orders put in without actual customers. When I went to see him the weekend of Feb 6th for my initial test drive and knew I wanted a Sunroof, he added it to the one he had on order. He added the 20" wheels yesterday but he had to call first to make sure we still had time.

Thanks for the info. I guess we will be playing the waiting game. As long as I get it before summer as we are planning to buy a camping trailer.

As soon as dealer sent me VIN I went into tracker and its in the system, just no window sticker yet.

Congrats on the order! How much is your dealer giving you for the factory tires? Which dealer?

He did not say how much he is giving me but I am paying 650$ extra to get the Falken instead of the factory tires but if I do a quick math: The Falken are 280$ online X 4 = 1 120$ + QC taxes = 1287$ . 1287$-650$. So I guess he is giving me 637$ for the factory tires. Cheaper than getting another set of dedicated winter wheels and tires and no hassle of swapping them. Dealer is Carle Ford in Buckingham. Nothing but excellent service from the dealership. If you are close to Ottawa, I highly recommend them if you are shopping/service. I have 3 dealerships that are closer to my location(Aylmer) that I have access to but decided to make the purchase there and so will my services.

I emailed my dealer today to see if I had a build week yet, he said week of March 1st. We'll see if that holds, seems like a lot of people getting bumped lately. I also have a spray in bed liner on mine so I might be waiting a while yet. I ordered on Jan. 27th.
