I interpreted this steering wheel heat removal order guide affects both 501A and 502A equipment group. I thought any Lariat trim regardless of the equipment group was supposed to have the heated steering wheel if the chip shortage wasn't the issue. Am I understanding this wrong?

I got an early 22 built 501A that did not have a heated steering wheel, and was never supposed to have a heated steering wheel. @bgalakazam is correct, 502A and higher

Installed HSW today, works great other than one issue I am having. The left side controls on the wheel do not work. Volume or Cruise. Anyone have any insight?

Truck is a 22 XLT BAP 302A

Here is my parts list:
Wheel: ML3Z 3600 RA
Wheel Bolt: W721079 S437
SCCM: ML3Z 3F791 BB
SCCM Connector: WPT 404
BCM Connector Pin: WT 1030

Changes Made:
SCCM:
724-01-01 - xxxx 8xxx --
724-06-01 - x0xx xxxx --

HVAC:
733-01-02 - xxx9 xxxx xx--

APIM:
7D0-02-02 - x6xx xxxx xx--
7D0-09-01 - xxxx xxxx xE--

IPC:
720-05-02 - 5xxx xx--

Also set APIM to Super Duty for on screen climate/HSW button.

I backed up my OE SCCM file prior to installation, and loaded it onto the new SCCM before making further changes.

Also to note, I am getting 2 SCCM DTC's now;

B137F - Steering Wheel Left Switch Pack
Additional Fault Symptom
- Incorrect Component Installed

U2101 - Control Module Configuration Incompatible

I am not extremely well versed in this stuff, so if any of you Forscan gods can lend a helping hand I would greatly appreciate it. I feel like I may have made some dumb oopsie somewhere and am not sure how to correct it.

Do you have adaptive cruise? If you don’t and the heated steering wheel came with switches with distance control that could be the issue.

I do not have adaptive cruise. Was looking to add in the near future so I kept the left buttons instead of swapping OE buttons over.

Check out 724-03-01 (second bit) to match the part number on the LH switches. Mine is 03xx-xxxx-—with the ACC switch, but check that it works for you and that it doesn’t have any downstream effects if you don’t have IACC installed yet….

FYI for y’all, my SCCM as built values finally updated on the ford server site after the latest round of OTAs. They hadn’t in the past due to part mismatch, so maybe there is hope that Ford is working on a retrofit being available and compatible with future OTAs. I still have the DTC from the HVAC mismatch though everything works.

We’ll see. Not that either of these are a high priority for me for OTAs but it’s reassuring.

You're the man. Thank you!

That one change got the buttons to work and the DTC's to go away.

As others reported, my SCCM and clock spring came without the heated steering wheel connector pins.
You have a good point, it would make sense the Raptor has a specific SCCM as it has some specific buttons (i.e the R option, suspension, exhaust and steering setup). It seems like the SCCM that I bought (ML3Z-3F791-BB) is compatible to all other trucks trims but the Raptor. I think in the end I will need to buy a new SCCM but the question is, whats the correct PN for my 23 Raptor.
95% sure this is the correct one you need, don't have the whole PN due to Fords secretive site, but make sense you'd need the most expensive one in your case.

Curious tho, multiple folks on the raptor forum with 23s have done the swap without going for a raptor specific part. Including several with the boostedgreygoose kit (which is model agnostic) and had no issues. Maybe his kit just included the highest spec trim?

I haven’t had time to attack this yet on my 23 but have the full kit so can’t confirm first person

I spoke with a guy at Ford parts and he confirmed to me that the ML3Z-3F791-BB is not suitable for Raptors. I gave him a 2022 Raptor VIN that came originally with heated steering wheel and he informed the PN is ML3Z-3F791-HB. I will place an order today and hopefully will get it done. I will keep you all updated.

It looks like the correct PN for Raptors is ML3Z-3F791-HB. For all other trim models should be ML3Z-3F791-BB.

Amateur hour. Not only did I forget my tools, but also don't have T50 and stripped the bolt with T45... Now the car is sitting like this until I find a socket in Germany. Wasted half a day and did noting other than the HVAC module swap. Don't really have a garage and it's 25-35 F these days. Lucky me :/

If I ordered ML3Z-14A664-B did I order the wrong one? 2023 600a?
I believe that's the correct number. I ordered the same one for my 701a. Finally in stock and shipped yesterday.

Yes mine shipped yesterday too. But I see some people ordered ML3Z-14A664-BB - note an extra “B”
