That would put to rest the idea of just changing the clockspring alone, one would need the entire sccm then to make it function.

I am reluctant on purchasing parts as I will have a column shift not a consol. so not sure how it will all piece together with the sccm and clockspring.
Is the SCCM different between the column shift and console shift? I thought I’d read on here that the only thing the column shift prevents is the power tilt and telescoping steering column.

The SCCM is the same between a column and console shift, the gear shift module GSM is its own individual module. You would need the exact same components as everyone else.

My parts for the project are starting to roll in. The steering wheel I bought has an extra button for some sort of adaptive cruise that I don’t have I guess. Will things still work and that button just won’t do anything or do I need to swap my buttons. Here is my existing wheel and my new wheel

You should be able to just swap controls, it’s very easy to do. That extra button is for setting your adaptive cruise follow distance

I’d rather just leave it if it doesn’t matter. Dead button is fine with me. I guess I can try when I start changing things

2018 F150 XLT >2010 XLT… 2021 XLT 302 Powerboost?
You got Reynauds too?
Sucks in the winter time. I wish I had a heated steering wheel, but I couldn’t bring myself to spend the extra $5,500 it would have cost to get that, ventilated seats and a rear sliding window. As those were the only things I cared about stepping up to a Lariat.
I had that same argument with myself building the 2021 Powerboost as last 2 of 3 vehicles before going back to a truck and Ford, had auto wipers... used 2006 RX8 , new 2007 Mazda 5, 2005 Mazda 6 didn’t have it

Any leads on part ML3Z-14A664-B , ML3Z-3F791-BB are currently on national backorder with the automotive manufacturer and has no estimated date of resupply. We do not currently have this item in stock at our warehouse and are unable to acquire it at this time.

If you leave those controls you need to change the LH switch address in the SCCM for that part number, or else you need to put your switches back in there.

Ebay would be your best bet if thats the case. Sounds like the reason heated wheels got removed to start with is starting to catch up with the part supply.

Here are all the values that need to be changed to enable HSW

FYI if you also want it to heat on remote start, you can make changes at

7D0-09-01 xxxx-xxxx-x*—
720-02-02 xxxx-x*—

I also added the rain sensor and the auto wiper stalk, made some changes to forscan, seems to work well. PM me if you want those changes or we can start a new thread.

You don't need to enable those for it to turn on with remote start. The first APIM value, I'm not sure exactly what that does. The second IPC is mainly for older trucks where you controlled all those options through the IPC and not the center screen. They are both not enabled on my truck and the heated wheel turns on when it should when I remote start and it's cold enough.

Nice - I made them already and it all works so I’ll leave well enough alone.
It’s possible they’re dead/null addresses on these trucks. If everything is working without faults there’s no point in changing it though, so I agree with you
