Heated Steering Wheel Retrofit?

Pretty sure he doesn't have adaptive steering. They won't let you order that on any 2023 F150, unless something has changed very recently. Doesn't matter what trim you bought in early '23 - Ford deleted the heated steering wheel for you.

IF you use the appropriate gauge wire it should be ok to use speaker wire. Also, make sure it's really copper and not copper clad aluminum which is common now in speaker wiring.

I spoke with a guy at Ford parts and he confirmed to me that the ML3Z-3F791-BB is not suitable for Raptors. I gave him a 2022 Raptor VIN that came originally with heated steering wheel and he informed the PN is ML3Z-3F791-HB. I will place an order today and hopefully will get it done. I will keep you all updated.

Ok guys, just a quick update.
I ordered the ML3Z-3F791-HB (SCCM) (see pictures for reference) for my 23 Raptor and was able to finish the heated steering wheel retrofit. It seems like the ML3Z-3F791-BB is only suitable for all other trims besides the Raptor as it doesn't recognize the Raptor specific left and right steering wheel buttons.

I now have a brand new ML3Z-3F791-BB unit at home that I will sell.

I wondered. Pop the airbag off and see what your working with, if you have the right wheel that's a plus, but still not great news as the right parts ain't cheap with adaptive steering. You really get shafted with the heated wheel delete on trucks with adaptive steering, as credit of $140 isn't going to be very little help if you try to add it back.

I wish I could just pop the airbag off like the rest of you but there are no little tabs to push on the back of my steering wheel.

Looks like the Limited wheel is different.

And the ebay listing @JScaro posted actually shows 2 different wheels. That ebayer screwed up on their posting as the pics of the backside of that steering wheel is def not a 21+ F150 wheel, and not even the same wheel as they posted pics of the front.

And the pics that @JScaro posted dont look like a 21+ wheel since the bottom is closed. Everything about this is confusing right now.

Ahhhhh - I noticed what looked like springs in the ebay photos (there are 4 2021+ limited wheels on ebay right now) but couldn't figure how you would get to them. Tiny holes on the side. I would never have found those on my own.
