I have an XLT with the 302A package. Here’s what the description lists on the Ford website for adding this package:
Ford F-150 HEATED MIRRORS? 89418A87-B652-4EFC-B67D-4FC47570E249

I interpreted this as having heated mirrors. As in when there’s snow or rain on the mirrors a simple press of the button will melt them away.

I have heated mirrors on my work trucks so I know how it works and how long it should take.

I haven’t been able to find the button for it on my F150 and some one online said that the rear defrost button is what will activate it. It did not.

So am I a dumbass that doesn’t know what “Mirrors with Heat” means or is this another “(EXPLETIVE) YOU” from Ford to me?

I believe the defrost button turns on all heated glass, mirrors, and back glass

yep the REAR defrost button
I guess mine just don’t work because I tried the rear defrost button when my mirrors were super wet from the car wash and after at least 20mins there was no difference.

my work truck Heated mirrors will normally have rain cleared off in 2-3mins. Like bone dry cleared off.

I believe they may use a temperature sensor to deactivate them above a certain temperature. I had some other vehicles that would do this.

If your mirrors are heated, they should have this symbol (or similar) on them.

I’m sure ford has them only turn on below 40F, or something like that.

Park outside and try it first thing in the morning when covered in condensation.

I tried it with condensation and still nothing.

@sbi mentioned something about that little symbol on the mirror which I’ve also read about somewhere else and I do not have that symbol on my mirrors. Do all you guys have it?

Per the manual video I posted above, the symbol does not exist on power fold or BLIS equipped mirrors

Thanks for sharing that video. It’s a shitty rainy day over here so I will try again after work.
