Headlight Upgrade from OEM Projector?

Hello,
I was wondering who in here has swapped their oem projector led lights for aftermarket and what did they go with? Looking for black housings and amber DRLs. I see that Alpharex and Diode Dynamics are a couple options but curious what else is available without losing performance over the factory lights.

I did end up buying a set of factory Raptor headlights, and they look great and would love for them to work, but I can’t for the life of me get the turn signals to work, followed the threads on here pertaining to forscan changes and physically wired in some diodes but nothing is working. So I am resorting to an aftermarket set. Let me know what you guys are running.

Yeah I’m pretty bummed out. Last couple days have been a roller coaster of “it’s working” to “I’m not getting anywhere” so I’ve decided to throw in the towel

I agree with the others. If you had the factory halogens, I'd say go for it. Just not worth it with the factory projectors unless your swapping to another factory projector style. Maybe sell the Raptor ones and get a set from a Lariat BAP or 402a Tremor. You won't get the amber DRL's but they do have the black housings.

The only thing I can see is that the BCM controls them a bit different in the Raptor.

Also the best functioning lights are OEM as you have the adaptive driving beams which are not offered by any aftermarket options

Thanks for the input. Maybe I’ll look into getting some retrofits. Seems to be the only way to get what I want without losing performance.

That’s very strange as the only difference is the turn signal circuit is routed into the DRL. I wish I had more info

There are no upgrade paths from factory projectors, only downgrades losing all projector movement.

There's paid help available here if you couldn't make it work.
