So when I first got my truck I was getting some piss poor milage, after updates and who knows what else I was finally working my way up on the avg MPG I was at 18.7mpg with my trip to work giving me about 22mpg avg (4 mi commute)

I had rough shifting and a heat exchanger issue that required it to be replaced (no leaks) so I scheduled a service and they let me know when the parts came.

In the time before the service I had 3 updates, after the most recent one the truck went in and came out a couple days later with everything fixed.

Now I have smooth shifting, but back to piss poor milage, currently at 16.9mpg avg and that's including a 1000mi fwy trip. My work commute now gives me a this trip reading of 13-16mpg and I have not seen 24mpg like I used to. I have noticed that I also no longer get a 30 minute electric idle like I used to, it's now about 5 minutes with the only exception if I am in park.

I am not sure if there was something in an update that caused it or if my truck is just acting up again. Have any of you noticed this?

Time between ICE runs is a function of energy used. It's summer and the AC compressor eats it up. There's a few threads on running an OBD monitor to see a few useful variables. @Snakebitten has posted a lot of info on the topic, and doing such would help you to better gauge what's going on with battery levels / energy usage.

Understandable, I will have to get one. I question it because I am now at 22k so it's definitely different than it was before.

When I am idling in these use cases I don't even have aircon on just seat cooler, and radio. If I am in park I can run aircon, radio, seat cooler, and lights for about 30 minutes before the ICE turns on. The same behavior used to happen when in gear.

I would journal actual fuel usage for a bit and see if the onboard calculations and predictions are in a state of flux after all that updating. It's possible you're running super rich and wasting fuel I suppose is it sluggish? You're 1000mi fwy trip, is that the same as an Interstate trip? +70 except for traffic?

I get just above 20mpg overall and I'm a spirited driver on open roads. Around town my driving is a mix of 25mpg Normal mode easy going and Sport mode/traction off 14mpg. The power is still fun for me but I'm slowly returning to normal lol.

You should have that range of mpg trip to trip depending on driving style. I can get from the high twenties to the low teens depending. That's the PB. You want great mpg? Drive it easy. You want to walk away from other trucks? Go ahead just don't worry about the mpg lol.

I plan on logging it again, I had logged each tank for a while there to make sure it was reading true. It was always very close so I stopped.

Correct my Fwy is an interstate trip, I was on CC at 70-75 little to no traffic for the trip.

I used to just drive never had to try to hit good numbers unless I just felt like trying to hit over 24 on a short trip lol. Now even if I try I can hardly get any sort of reasonable number. I drive in eco for the most part, shifting is smoother for me.
