I couldn't agree with you more, not understanding this. In the 2020 sport appearance pkg there was red in the interior, so certain colors (ie green) would've looked off.

Correct me if I'm wrong but on an XLT Sport there isn't any red in the interior.
Correct. Just black, which I love.

I did like that the 2020s had red accent stitching though which would look weird with green. Merry Christmas LOL
That was in some other package, not the “basic” XLT Sport. I have the ‘20 XLT Sport, and it’s black as can be. But I know the package of which you speak.

For 2019 and 2020 Ford offered a “Special Edition” package that could be combined with the Sport package. I think that may be what you’re referring to.

Wow, that special edition interior! Had no idea what those rare stripey trucks looked like inside.

Also, was at ford service today and someone (was a customer) had what I think is a "blackout package" raptor. It was all matte black everywhere and looked amazing.

My Taco was special ordered with a 6 spd man and the wheels. I sure miss rowing my own gears.
Despite the Toyota thing, I have a respect for you.
Item I will miss the most in the new truck is that long wiggly stick coming from the floor and a lack of the third pedal.
59 ElCamino (sold), 66 ElCamino, 65 Ranchero (family owned since new), 05 Ranger and of course my favorite 98 Chev k1500-----ALL stick cars currently at my home.
My wife and the kid have the only auto cars in the yard.

Since the 98 was totaled last Thursday, I will be rounding stuff up for that, and hopefully have it back on the road by New Year-----or before the new one shows up----Will still be my favorite.

Finally found an actual example of Guard. Not the way I would equip it, but at least it gives an idea of color!!!

Did you order a KR non-chrome, 600A? Once you choose chrome of 601A or powerboost, it forces Dearborn and it seems they are not allowed to send Guard paint across state lines.

I ordered powerboost and chrome. I know. It sucks. But I had to get chrome because I didn’t want that secondary color on the bottom of the doors and figured it would be easier to get all the chrome painted satin black rather than try to color match the doors.

Ah, see! No need to second guess your decision then. Powerboost forced Dearborn, where Guard colored trucks are highly illegal and Ford employees would be arrested on spot for smuggling Guard paint in from Kansas City.

(not really, I'm just being hyperbolic to point out how lame I think it is to have plant-specific paint colors)
