Great info Roger350. I’m over here in Grapevine and am leery of pretty much any dealer in the Metroplex.
I qualified for X-Plan, so I could have gotten that locally, but not sure I would have done any better than that in DFW. My whole decision was based on finding those fairly useless and toothless lifetime powertrain warranties, and making sure it was one that didn't require service at the selling dealer. I figured on a brand new model, price was going to be fairly consistent across the board, $500 - $1000 under invoice, anywhere you go, so I wanted something that differentiated that deal, and the free warranty was what I focused on. It may never save me any money, but it's there for free, and I still got the truck for the same price I would have gotten it for without the free warranty. I didn't ever talk money with local dealers. I did get an offer for $500 under invoice from a dealer in Houston, but they didn't have the warranty. That's just how I approached it. I'm happy with the deal I got, and don't mind taking a road trip to go get my truck.

I won't go back to Grapevine Ford. The MORONS over there refused to listen to reason or look at proof there was an issue with my truck (among MANY other problems). My gas mileage had dropped 2-3mpg and they tried to educate me on how to drive as the "fix". I've tracked my gas mileage for over 10 years now (phone apps), and they told me I was wrong. Dropped the truck off with working A/C, picked it up and it didn't work; service advisor told me I just don't understand how A/C works and that it was normal. Ended up finding out the high pressure switch on the A/C was disconnected and that my BOV had a GIANT hole in it. Tried to talk with the manager about it and they told me it was my fault for running the Raptor tires.
Autonation in Frisco is beyond corrupt too - negotiated everything about pricing for a new truck, got it worked out, went to finance and they tacked on $499 for "windshield protection program", another $499 for "appearance protection", and another $499 for their "custom tint and protection". Told them that wasn't part of the deal and I wasn't going to pay for dealer markup items that weren't discussed up front and they became VERY rude. Walked out of there and they tried to call me back for 3 days, non stop.
I don't play games when it comes to knowing my vehicles and dealerships. I want straight forward and honest.

I see some suggestions of dealers that would do $1000 under invoice, like yourself Albert. However they are all quite far from me (California, Bay Area to be specific) do you have any recommendations of dealers I should look at in the neighboring states? Oregon, Nevada, Arizona, even Utah or Washington, Idaho?

If not...oh well X-plan it is. Thank you for constantly answering our questions Granger.

Sorry I have been away from the internet for a couple days..

I would check with highly rated dealers Google 4.7 or higher and see what the fleet manager or Internet Director can do for you on the truck...

I am sorry that I do not have a better answer for you...

Hi, Granger Ford. Which trims include the front bumper sensors? Does the Lariat 501a include them? Thanks

Need the Co-Pilot 360 option on the vehicle for the sensor to be there... Does not need the 360 degree camera...

Thanks for the additional details Roger!

Dang! Talk about jerks!!! I've heard that the service department at 5-Star Ford in NRH is pretty good. A friend who owns a KR takes his truck there even though he didn't buy it there. They even give him a loaner!

I'll have to check them out in the future, thanks! North Central in Richardson did me well for the most recent appointment I had. I'm definitely willing to drive for a good experience.

Thanks for your review of Grapevine Ford. They are going to build a dealership in Prosper. Now I know to stay away from them.

I've checked around a little in the DFW area. The dealer in Whitesboro said he could probably beat the X plan -$1000 EAA plan. This last weekend I went to Bob Utter in Sherman for the first time. I had a oil change done. I didn't have to schedule an appointment and they had it done in about 45 minutes. Nice people but I didn't check on the prices for a new one there.

The dealer there has great deals but offered me 21k for my trade (was offered 27k elsewhere). They may offer better on new deals but definitely check around for the trade in prices. Likely how they give better deals, getting them cheaper to start. Had no complaints about them otherwise on the sales side.
