Granger Ford (3% under invoice forum offer), got an email today (7/18) that their order books did NOT open today, unable to order?

Contrary to their forum post about order books opening up on 7/18, I just got this email.

"<MostlySafeBear>, Order books did not open today for F-150's. Once those open back up I will be able to provide you with a quote based on that build and price. Our allocations change month to month so it is hard to say what they will be next month or this month once the ordering books do open up."

Well hopefully my post above showing that Ford didn't update the WBDO until 1:20 PST shows it wasn't their issue.

What do you mean exactly? Are you saying that I'm wrong to be confused as to why they cannot fulfill orders that they stated would open today?

So you are blaming them, per-se. Ford released when orders could be input, today, and although later in the day, is still accurate. Individual dealers have zero control over something like this.

You mention you ordered 6/18/21. Did you create a new order for a 2022, if so when? Who’s your dealer.

The issue was that you were implicitly blaming Granger for not delivering on something Ford promoted (and by the way still delivered upon).

"Why is Granger wrong?" instead of "Why is Ford Wrong?"

If you didn't realize that the July 18th date was promised by Ford, and promoted by them everywhere, including by all the other dealers, then fair enough. Personally, I just didn't want to see pitchforks out for one of the rare 5-star businesses out there.

If you placed an order for a 2023 KR from a local dealer and are paying MSRP you may not get it any faster from Granger, but you will save thousands. Big thousands.

I ordered it with X-Plan pricing and 0% for 72MO. Pricing and financing has gone up. I've got a PCO waiting for when I finally get my truck.
